Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Paducah

Other tropical smoothie locations are beyond better than this location. This location started off good when it opened. I’m not sure if it has been under new management lately but…The smoothies are alright, I don’t feel like the people at this location follow the exact measurements and ingredients sometimes the shakes are tasteless or not consistent. A few weeks ago I wanted to try the avocado grilled cheese…I got it and it was literally just bread. So I ordered it again and the toppings just aren’t there…I’ve gotten the wrap that’s supposed to have strips of chicken and it looked like someone put chicken in a blender and sprinkled it into the wrap. If you get a quesadilla it’s usually paper thin…. Next time I have tropical smoothie I’m going to have to literally watch them make the food because I’m so confused as to why they are trying to skimp customers on food we are already over paying for…I shouldn’t be able to open a grilled cheese like it’s a book…. It’s like the person didn’t even add cheese-on...

I absolutely love tropical smoothie cafe! It’s one of my fav places to eat! So I would normally give this place 5 stars, but on my most recent visit the employee that made my food wasn’t the most sanitary. She was sweeping then immediately put gloves on to make my flatbread. I asked her to wash her hands, she apologized and then made my food. Afterwards when she gave me my food she had an attitude or either she was embarrassed. Either way... I wasnt upset, I just feel like there’s a lot of younger ladies working there, and I’m not quite sure they fully understand that they’re working around food all day. Today at a Tropical Cafe , I watched a line continue to grow with four people behind the counter. While the online orders continue to pour in on top of what was in front of them, they just kept their heads down holding back the anxiety and tension you could feel growing from the customers staring at them. While the young man apologized over and over I could feel his pain. I told him I totally understand and thanked him for being at work to service my family. I only share because this world we live in now is tough. Be thankful if you are never the one behind the counter. I pray we all find patience for those working so hard.
