New China Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Pagosa Springs

My friend and I came here for a late lunch. He opted for the buffet. I ordered off the menu because I wasn't hungry enough to get my money's worth from a buffet.

I ordered tofu and vegetables. I got the lunch special. I was able to choose from a few different soups. I chose egg drop. It was really good. It was a big portion of soup. My entree came with rice. I chose steamed, but I could have gotten fried. The entree came with crab ragoon, which was fresh and absolutely delicious. It also came with an egg roll, and it was so hot and tasty.

The buffet is rather small, and doesn't offer a huge variety. My friend only got one plate from the buffet, but he got everything he wanted. He and I both liked our meals.

Our server was very nice and got us everything we needed.

Our first and final visit to this establishment. We arrived during lunchtime and physically pointed to the lunch menu our two orders, because the gentleman acted as though he didn’t speak English to ordering again and again pointing to the lunch menu with the woman who took our order to because he passed us over to her. Our bill was charged for two dinner menus instead and she actually became angry with us over trying to clarify the mistake. She then began to shout at the gentleman in her language and made a spectacle of the situation. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Shanghai in town , where you’re treated so kind and like family. This establishment was a horrible experience. ...

I disliked that I asked the only person in the front of the restaurant if it was a buffet or a restaurant and she stared at me like she didn't speak English. She gave me a seat without asking me if I wanted the buffet or menu. She didn't explain anything to me. The buffet was very tiny.

I ordered the seafood boat, and everything in it was cheap. There was a lot of imitation crab, celery, uncooked broccoli, two fish sticks, other vegetables, and some shrimps, but it was very cheap and I couldn't finish it. It was too nasty.
