We were here on the evening of October 8. For being fast food it was not fast. Let me prequel that with.... by no means was this the gentleman at the fronts fault. Nor was it the lady making food. Who I an assuming was the manager, was more worried about emptying half bags of trash and texting and socializing than helping with a long line of people. I think his name is Matthew. That's what is on the receipt. He gets a standing ovation. He was the only reason we didn't walk out after watching the woman with the trash and her phone. The staff looks over worked, understaffed and under appreciated like almost every business out there right now. However, there could have been extra hands to help. After chatting with someone she knew in line, she did offer to come take over his job and allow him to take the trash all the way out for her. Thankfully he declined. That would not have been good. That place needs Matthew up there. He was busting his butt to take orders, fill orders and wear many hats at one time. Even in the face of people being very impatient, he wore a smile and was a delight. He never showed any frustration other than wondering where the other lady was while he was swamped. Keep these hard working employees, give them raises and find managers that are willing to manage. Thank you Matthew for a...
Read moreIt's my first time visiting Cherokee. I went to Arby's because I was craving a Reuben. Right when I was about to take my first bite, my observant eyes spotted several strands of white curly hairs on the bread. It seemed as if the slice fell on the floor, or somewhere filthy and yet they still served it. I alerted the cashier at the counter. She grabbed my sandwich with her bare hands, put it to the light and confirmed there were several pieces of hairs on my sandwich. Naturally I got my money back, but I'm disappointed because I had my eyes and stomach set on eating a corn beef reuben and it was ruined. There's no way I'm going to continue eating at store #6609 in Cherokee (a few mins away from Harrah's casino). To top it all off, there was absolutely no reaction from any employee, including the manager or the cashier who touched my sandwich. I immediately got the vibe that they must be used to people complaining about their food, they don't even react with any remorse. I got not one single apology, btw. This ultimately tells me that there's an unsanitary bunch of people working at...
Read moreUsually slow but friendly service at the drive through, today was awful. Heres how it went.
Me sitting at the drive through in silence for several minutes without being acknowledged, I start to drive away when I hear a “yeah” over the speaker.
I asked if I can place my order and the lady said “yeah” again. I placed my order without and confirmation that she got it. And after waiting, I said “thats it” Her reply was just the total and nothing else.
I get to the window and she says nothing, takes my payment and nothing, gives me my drink and nothing, she closes the window and walks away. A few minutes later she comes back and hands me my food and said nothing again, just closes the window and turns away. No smile, thank you or anything! I just looked at her, shook my head and drove away.
My order was wrong and I wasn’t about to go back. The YOUNG woman, not the usual older woman working the window was not friendly and had zero customer service or personality. After several questionable visits I doubt if I will ever go back to that...
