Ordered Small Seafood tower, the Classic Meal – with filet & shrimp special and 9oz glasses of wine. The Seafood tower was good.Salads were typically salads. I ordered my steak medium well to well- no pink but not all the way well done. It came out BURNT like charcoal. Our server, Taylor was even shocked when I called her back to the table to show it to her . My sister's steak was ok she ordered med well but it also was a little over done on the outside. MY BURNT steak was taken back to recook. Finally after 30 minutes brough back second steak- I cut into it and it was rare. Again, waitress was shocked and apologetic- Took it back- meanwhile my sister had already finished her meal and our sides Mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were cold. Our Server stopped back by table a couple times over the next 20 minutes and said they were working on it and ask if I wanted to speak to manager-I said YES. She said the manager was back in the kitchen when our orders were being prepared. She should never have let them leave the kitchen looking like this. The manager Jennfier came over to the table. I told her what had happened. She did not seem to care, was very rude, was not apologetic at all. She said they are recooking your steak. By this time, it was almost 2 hours later than when we first were seated. I told her just to put it in a to go box. My sides were cold which the brussels sprouts was over cooked as well. (We had made prior reservations, arrived earlier and said if we can be seated earlier that would be great- they could not accommodate this which I dont know why over half the tables were empty) Server ask about our cheesecake and we told her to box it up as well. Thank God we had ordered the seafood tower small also as I had gotten to eat some of it as I was not getting the steak I had order to eat with my sister. Jennifer the manager came back over as server was bringing the to go steak. She never apologized just said I credited your steak meal off your bill but you get to take the steak home. When your bill is almost 300.00 for 2 people- you expect to enjoy a nice dinner, but we had no enjoyment during this meal. After waiting almost 3 hours waiting for a steak I had ordered only to be boxed up with cold sides and steak to take to motel room. I have been eating at Ruths Chris for years - Cherokee, Knoxville, Nashville and others frequently and always had an enjoyable dinner but not this time. We have reservations at the Knoxville Ruth Chris for the 15th but seriously think we need to cancel. Knoxville is a 2 hour drive for us and Cherokee is a 4 hour drive. So we drive a distance just to get to enjoy s...
Read moreMy husband and I are seven star players and frequent this Ruth's chris as well as others in the south east multiple times. I am giving it a 1 star because the service we got was absolutely horrible. As 7 star players, we plan our trips to the casino. We had our reservations for a month. We arrived 7 minutes before our reservation time and was seated promptly. It took our waitress almost 10 minutes to greet us and take our drink order. She did provide water and bread the first time. And took our appetizer order. We waited another 10 minutes for drinks( teas, not alcohol) at which time we placed our order. Another 20 minutes go by, and she returns to tell us that the Crab cakes were ready but there was a hold up on the ahi tuna. Thought that was strange since it's cold tuna but we smiled and said no problem. Appetizers came out 10 minutes later. So at this point we have almost been there an hour. We ear our appetizers and sit and sit for another hour. Mind you tables around us that were sat AFTER us were being served their dinner but we were just sitting there. The waitress was also not at all checking on us. Or saying there is an issue. Finally, a man named Mike came over and said he was sorry and what could he do to which my husband replied, please just wrap the food up and we will pay the bill and leave. He disappeared and NEVER came back. 15 more minutes go by and our waitress appears and has our food (minus my lobster tail) not in boxes but on plates. We explained that we already spoke to Mike and he said he would wrap it up. She acted like we were wrong and put all the food on the table. I asked about my lobster tail and she said she would get it. She also took my husband's card and id with her. She never came back. The head manager came out and brought the lobster tail and did not offer an excuse, just appogized for the horrendous service. She brought out boxes and took $50 off our bill and gave us a $150 gift card for a future Ruth's Chris visit. There was no communication the entire time. No one let us know that there was a problem. The waitress should have said SOMETHING. She said nothing. It makes me sad because we like Ruth's Chris but this experience really soured it for us. I do appreciate the last...
Read moreHaving dined here multiple times, our visit on October 20th was a shock. There were problems with every course of the meal. First, the ravioli were undercooked. The pasta was hard. No one at the table finished their first piece of bread! Our serving of bread tasted like three day old grocery store bread. Our table had two orders of lobster bisque - one bowl was appreciably more full than the other bowl. It tasted awful. I tried to salvage it with 4 tsp of salt and 1 of pepper, but it still did not taste like anything we would ever call a bisque, much less lobster. In the photos, it shows a sprinkle of chopped chives. None of those for us! No one finished their lobster bisque. When the steaks arrived, none had a char. They looked like they were steamed or boiled. One guest had the 6 oz petit filet with three shrimp - please see a photo in another review of what this was supposed to look like. His plate contained a half inch thick palm-sized non charred piece of meat with three plain boiled shrimp laid on top, on a lukewarm white plate. No char, no sear on the shrimp, no sauce, no juice, nothing. I felt horrible for him. Two of us shared a ribeye, and neither of us finished our half. My husband and I agreed that the steaks we bought at Walmart 2 weeks prior, and grilled at home, were better - seared and seasoned, and thicker. Another guest's crab cakes looked and tasted exactly like Sam's club crab cakes. Previously, the crab cakes had been more like delicious crab lumps, but I guess not anymore! The lobster mac tasted delicious - but the lobster on top was dried out and chewy, and the we couldn't really taste it. This would have been a marginal quality meal at a common establishment, but at Ruth's and at those prices, it is sickening. We did not complain at the time, because it was a celebration, and we just kept hoping it would get better. The service was technically great, but at some point the server should have looked at this food and refused to bring it out. None of the plates were actually hot, none of them had sauce or juices on them, the soup was missing the chives and the servings were...
