Quick tip: Order food online to dine in to avoid wait time during busy hours!
I recommend Torta Cubana to anyone that hasn’t tried Mexican sandwich before. This sandwich is very flavorful, it comes with sausage, jam, chorizo, beef milanesa and egg served w/ tomato, lettuce, cheese, beans and sour cream. The egg is over medium, and everything seems to mix in so well together. The sandwich is already pre-cut in half for your convenience, and the portion of the food is good. Also, their french fries are pretty good, too. They are not hand cut fries, but man they so are crunchy compare to average french fries that you would normally eat.
I have been to this restaurant at least five times already, and it has always been a positive experience for me and my friends. I always go there during lunch on weekdays, they can be a little busy. You will want to get the lunch menus if you go there for lunch because it’s cheap, and delicious! Once you get yourself seated, you will be greeted with a waitress offering you what to drink and they are very knowledgeable on the stuff on the menus. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very casual, it has TVs and there is also Mexican music playing in the background. The restaurant is not big nor small, and the speed of service is about average. The waitress will come by from time to time to ask if you need anything (i.e. more water).
My overall impression of this restaurant is great, and I would definitely recommend...
Read moreYesterday I was super excited to get my food from here that I ordered online because I wasn't impressed by other mexican restaurants in the area. I order online at about 5:45 and I arrive about 5 minutes later. I knew I was early and that I would have to wait, which I was fine with. I walk in and it is packed, so logically, there would be longer wait times which I am fine with as well. But I was not prepared to hear the young male and female host quote wait times of anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes and one hour to two hour wait times. Not to mention how many times they told people that they have no idea when their food will be ready. I proceed to wait and hour and thirty minutes for my order. And then, without any NOTICE or ANNOUCEMENT they start CANCELLING people's orders. A customer who had been waiting had to ask THEM why her order had been cancelled. The lack of communication, organization, and friendly staff made me never want to go here ever again. I get it, cinco de mayo in a pandemic will be busy at any mexican restaurant, but everything that I experienced was unnecessary. They should have been better prepared with their staff and communicated with their guests, who, for the most part were patient and understanding. 0 stars. Don't...
Read moreNo Manches in Palatine is such a fun spot — this place seriously delivered on food and vibes. You can tell the owner puts so much care into making it a great experience. He really goes all out to make it fun, and you can feel the attention to detail in everything — from the food to the energy of the place.
We ordered a lot and loved it all: nachos, queso, elote, stuffed quesadillas, salad, fajita veggies, tricolor stuffed burrito, and verde enchiladas. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The queso was rich and creamy, the enchiladas were packed with flavor, and the stuffed quesadillas were a definite favorite.
We also tried a bunch of drinks — mocktails, flavored piña coladas, and mojitos — and every single one was delicious. Super refreshing and well made.
My personal favorites were the verde enchiladas, tricolor burrito, stuffed quesadillas, and of course, that queso.
Such a fun, lively place — perfect for a casual dinner, a celebration, or just because. I’ll...
