Restaurante Los Agaves — Restaurant in Palatine Township

I used to go there for taco tuesday , not gonna lie at first. The tacos were bomb super yummy , good size tacos, and loaded with meat. But then I started to realize that every time I went there, I would get sick . My stomach was telling me to stop going there. So I put two and two together and thought about it . That place is always slow, and when u walk in . I'm not sure if that's the boss that stands by the register. He always has a mean looking face like he isn't happy to be there. So anyways, I think that they use all the meat that they can't sell throughout the week to do Taco Tuesday, and it wasn't just me, the one getting sick . People that I would bring with I was spreading the word about this place, but I realized that it isn't worth getting sick over tacos. Also, they don't even serve you chips or salsa they come up to you, take your order, and they forget about you till you're ready to go to the register to pay. I'm not throwing shade at this place, just sharing my experience here. Forgot to mention the staff was all having dinner together one night which I tought it was very nice for them to all eat together , all of the sudden one of the staff gets up from the table and goes straight to the toppings in the kitchen and starts grabbing with his bare hands no gloves didn't wash them . 1st time coming here, called in advance to make a table reservation since I was not sure of how busy it would be for a small group. A girl named Zuri, did the reservation for me. The atmosphere is very inviting and clean! Zuri took the time to explain the dishes and made recommendations. The food was very delicious, their meat is super tasty, seasoned and fresh. Omg the fresh quesadillas and empanadas are made fresh with tortilla dough on the spot! Really yummy!
