Slaw Burger Palatine — Restaurant in Palatine Township

Yesterday evening I had just finished working with a client and being so late in the evening I searched on Google for late night eating near me and found slaw burgers 🍔 which I had noticed before when I dined at a nearby Mexican restaurant.

I decided to finally try it so I noticed a large crowd of guys had already taken up all the seats inside and watching a game so I was happy to sit outside and enjoy the summer breeze.

The menu has boxed options which are extremely fair priced for what you receive. I picked the smash burger box with crinkle fries 🍟 for $9.99 and the slaw for around $4. I would have gotten a soda but I didn't feel like spending $17 without tip so free water is available for all guests at a water decanter so I drank water. The food was amazingly good.

My only critique is i think they should off a tiny 2 tablespoon of slaw as an add on option for $1.50. I know food costs have gone up but maybe offer just a little sample as an option for your guests to enjoy and a larger size of slaw for people who purchase the boxed chicken 🐔 and or burger for $3 of people are purchasing your meals.

The meat was fresh and extremely healthy tasting and I had no idea this restaurant is Hallal I just came here to try a burger to satiate my late night hunger.

Junaid..is the owner and he and another co worker were all by themselves hustling to fulfill all the orders as there were so many men there waiting on burgers. The place is extremely clean and the staff here very eager to help, very welcoming to the guests and wanting everyone to enjoy their meal.

I leave a five star review for the kindness and delicious meal. As I mentioned the slaw is incredibly good but maybe have a different price set up if a customer just wants a little...

There are only two tiny tables inside and it wasn’t very clean. They did have some outdoor seating, but it wasn’t warm enough to sit outside.

On top of that, the service was slow. We stopped in for lunch on the weekend and when we arrived there was one table waiting for their food. No one else was in the restaurant. We waited for a few minutes at the counter to place our order but no one ever came out to help. We ended up placing the order on the kiosk and sat down. We then waited ~15 minutes for the food.

Overall, the food was decent. I really enjoyed the fries. Surprised that there’s no soda fountain though. Also, this was our first time here so we were a bit confused about what actually came on the burger. (And again, there were no employees around to ask while waiting to order and eventually we just ordered on the kiosk)

When we ordered on the kiosk, we ordered one of the burgers with no coleslaw. We didn’t modify the other two. None of the burgers had coleslaw, but looking at the menu online, it doesn’t seem like they come with it anyway? If that’s the case, I’m not sure why the kiosk offers the option to remove the coleslaw.

Then, as we were almost done eating, a customer that just received their food stopped at the counter and said they asked for the coleslaw that was supposed to come on the burger to be put on the side but they didn’t receive it. The employee came back out with a little side of coleslaw. So at that point we were confused again. Yes or no to coleslaw?

Came here today with my family of 4 after seeing all of the high praise and it being local to us. Left pretty disappointed in the quality of food, pricing and service.

When we first got there and started our order we were immediately met with something that was out of stock and it was their craft lemonade. How is that possible? Felt odd and was a precursor to the rest of our experience.

The wife and I ordered two double smash burgers that were not of great quality and thicker than your average smash burger. They also went heavy on the mustard which made it hard to distinguish most of the flavors and sauce that were on it.

We had come in with two young kids (4 & 2) so it made the most sense to us to order the chicken tender box which ended up being the biggest disappointment of the trip because no where on the menu or the tv did it mention these would be buffalo hot tenders. The chicken tenders were an orange tinge that was off putting and didn’t look at all like the pictures we looked up ahead of time. Couldn’t get through more than a bite and we definitely weren’t going to feed our young kids overly buffalo sauced tenders.

Please train your cashier/host to clarify that these are hot if you won’t advertise it to your audience. I felt dooped and that we had overpaid by a lot vs other spots who offer the same choices. $54 for two burger and a chicken tender box that was inedible.

Can’t say we will be back again. I would not recommend...
