I had such a great experience at Bomdama Shabu Shabu Hotpot in New Jersey! If you’re a hotpot lover or just someone who enjoys trying new flavors, this place is definitely worth visiting.

What really stood out to me was the wide selection of broths, meats, veggies, and add-ons — there’s something for everyone here. I personally tried the Dashi and Spicy Dashi broths, and both were packed with flavor. The dashi had that classic savory depth, while the spicy dashi had just the right kick without being overwhelming. Next time, I’m definitely trying their Mala broth — it sounds amazing!

The meat selection was super fresh, and they offered plenty of cuts to choose from. Veggie lovers will be happy too — they have a great assortment of greens, mushrooms, and other vegetables, plus noodles, seafood, and even unique hotpot toppings. It’s all you can eat, so you can really take your time and try everything.

Another plus? They finish off the meal with ice cream for dessert! It was the perfect sweet ending after a warm and hearty hotpot feast.

Overall, the quality of the ingredients, variety of options, and friendly service made this such a satisfying meal. I’m already looking forward to my next visit — definitely coming back to try that mala broth! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a good...

This location is not friendly to restaurants...5-6 others have come/gone in this same location since i have gone to Palpark... after visiting, I don't have high hopes this will last..... Food was just ok..nothing amazing. Vegetables were fresh and decent selection for shabu....warm buffet food seemed limited and many dishes dried out.... reduce rating as they make entire table pay same fee even if not getting unlimited... I don't eat that much but wife/daughter loves shabu...I was fine with 1 Ramen soup/veggies plus warm buffet...still charged for unlimited.... I did not get this when at Shabu in little ferry a few months back or even in Korea...but I guess they/Usa people have no honor?! Ha... Anyway, a/c was also not working when we went so everyone super uncomfortable eating shabu in a hot restaurant.... hopefully they fix that soon. Table setup also slightly uncomfortable for 2 people at the table as shabu warmer directly in front of you (not on side) so your plates cannot be directly in front, but off to the side...not sure how else to describe... Won't go back due to ac + charging me for unlimited + poor warm buffet quality....just be aware of...

Just opened with in a few month. It was very nice. Lovely layout. Very clean. But very expensive and on top of thay the service sucked. No one came by to check up on us and asked if we needed any refills. We had to flag down a staff to ask for more water and refill on soup. We also had to grab napkins ourselves from next table. We only got one serving of meat and that was it. No one came by to ask if we needed more meat. Now the manager, I think, basically kicked us out. I understand that there is a 90 min time limit which was posted all over the restaurant, as matter of a fact, it says $6.99 charge for each 30 min extra but the place was almost empty. We were talking most of the time and enjoying, and having some ice cream when he just kicked us out. I know the time limit is for those who just sits there to eat and eat and eat. Anyways, not worth the money and especially the service. I would expect to be treated much, much better for $35.99/person. I will definitely NOT recommend to dine here and go somewhere...

This place offers a large variety of fresh side dishes, including vegetables, fish balls, mushrooms, fungus, kimchi, and noodles. There’s also a great selection of sauces. The broth is flavorful, and the utensils like plates, bowls, chopsticks, and tongs are clean and easily accessible. The meat and seafood options aren’t very expansive but high quality, and I appreciated the non-fatty brisket option. Korean ice creams like Melona are available. The restaurant is very clean, with excellent ventilation, so you don’t leave smelling like food. Each table has a divider for added privacy, and there’s plenty of space to dine comfortably. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the older Korean lady with glasses, who gave very homey vibe to the restaurant. There is a 90-minute wait but after paying we stayed there for about 20 minutes to eat ice cream and no one kicked us out. There is no parking on premise but street parking was plentiful on a Friday evening.
