I never post reviews, but this one is necessary since our RESERVATION was CANCELLED ON US after ARRIVING. If I can give this a 0 star or negative stars, I would. I have never been so appalled in my life.
This would’ve been my FIRST time coming here after hearing about how good the food was from family and friends. What a great first impression that was.
We called in for a reservation but was running a bit late due to WEATHER (better safe than dead while driving in heavy precipitation). Drove over 45 minutes just to have our reservation CANCELLED ON US. No greeting, just straight up, “oh last seating is at 10:45pm.” Here’s the kicker, since we were running late, THEY called us to RECONFIRM our reservation. We were just outside the city on the highway exit turning in so we were close and should arrive in like 5 minutes, so yes we confirmed with them that we will arrive very soon. We got there 10:44 or 10:45, on the dot RIGHT ON TIME; however, we were turned away despite THEM calling to RECONFIRM reservation just a few minutes ago. We arrived and they said NO. I didn’t want to argue any longer and left at 10:47. If THEY want to cancel the reservation on us, they should CALL US to cancel instead of RECONFIRMING.
I understand it is getting late, but their hours END at MIDNIGHT. They could’ve seated us INSTEAD of arguing and wasting time. We arrived right at 10:45 due to bad weather. We could’ve ate everything and left before midnight, which we did at another restaurant nearby. Sadly, I won’t ever get to try Jeong Yook.
SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. The staff lack TRAINING. If the girls at the front desk are NOT the same person who called to reconfirm reservation, they need better communication amongst their own staff. And if one of the girls WAS the one who called to reconfirm reservation, SHE NEEDS TRAINING (or quite honestly, the boot). I sincerely hope she isn’t the owner. As someone also from the food and service industry, this is straight up horrific and an embarassment. This is NOT how handle reservations and service. Reservations are reservations for a reason. Don’t accept reservations if you...

The hostess's warm welcome and enthusiasm in recommending dishes set a positive tone for the evening. Her friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcome as first-time visitors.
The efficiency of the staff was impressive.
With minimal wait time for seating. Our server was attentive and went above and beyond, noticing our struggle with metal chopsticks and proactively bringing wooden ones. They even took the time to demonstrate proper chopstick technique, showing genuine care for our dining comfort.
We opted for the Small Beef Combo, perfect for two. Our server excelled in explaining each cut of meat, offering cooking recommendations, and describing flavor profiles. This guidance enhanced our appreciation of the meal and demonstrated the staff's knowledge and passion for their cuisine.
The food itself was outstanding.
Each cut of beef was flavorful and cooked to perfection, thanks to our server's helpful tips. The combination of high-quality meat and expert guidance resulted in a truly satisfying Korean BBQ experience.
The restaurant's atmosphere struck a perfect balance.
Peaceful and comfortable, ideal for both intimate dinners and social gatherings. The overall ambiance complemented the excellent food and service.
WOW!
Jeong Yook excels in all areas - food quality, service, and atmosphere. It's clear that the staff takes pride in providing a top-notch dining experience. Whether you're new to Korean BBQ or a seasoned enthusiast, Jeong Yook is a must-visit restaurant that I highly recommend. And dont...
Read moreThe food is great. Let's say that right off the bat. Very tasty. We showed up for a late lunch early dinner. First off the parking lot is a mess because they try to bang you at the door with valet parking. After parking ourselves we went inside. The tables are very small with a grill in the middle. So when the fire is up high your eyebrows feel like they are going to burn off. They bring an old bottle filled with liquid that looks like dirty water. Like an old gym bottle that rolls under your car seat and you find a year later. Now I discover my cup is dirty. Like gross. There is a hodgepodge of weird food on the table. Like broccoli and lettuce. Around the grill is a gross pit of raw egg just waiting to give you botulism. The cook comes and wedges herself in between you and your friends to now throw raw meat on at grill 2 feet from your face slowly cooking your skin. Every once in awhile a piece of raw meat falls into the vat of raw egg in which the cook just disregards and throws the meat back on the grill with the rest of the meat. Once your meat is done the cook cuts it up with scissors and leaves it on the grill for you and your friends to fight over like a live action game of hungry hungry hippos. My friends who have done this before take the meat and wrap it in the random lettuce that turns out not to be salad. Like I said the food is good. I could do without the loud Korean pop music drowning out our conversation. Then as your check comes the pit of raw egg becomes some sort of scrambled eggs that I guess some folks...
