Waffle House — Restaurant in Palm Bay

I walked in with two friends to have breakfast and sat for fifteen minutes waiting for an employee to clean a table so we could sit.

The entire store was a mess from floor to tabletop with dirty plates piled and food scraps on the table tops, which is understandable for a Friday morning, however, there were only two customers in there, who both also weren't even given the opportunity to order in the fifteen minutes we were there before we left out of frustration.

There were five employees behind the counter, all of whom were talking and joking around and one was on their personal phone having a conversation unrelated to official waffle business. Beyond being told to take a seat and wait for a table our group of three was not acknowledged, and there was no effort made to make a table even remotely clean enough for us to sit.

We ended up leaving not out of impatience but out of principle. None of us felt comfortable patronizing an establishment with employees as careless as the ones at this Waffle House.

I will not return to this Waffle House, and will instead be dining at Dennys when I'm in need of early morning dining.

Also, side note: I don't drink alcohol, so maybe if I was hammered I would've been able to put up with the lackluster service.

Update (9/24/25): I forgot I also reported this to Waffle House corporate, on the same day I wrote this review, which as of now was three months ago. I have received no response from WH so it is clear...

Went into this restaurant in the later part of the evening and the waitress was very nice and great customer service drinks in a fast manner and took the order in great fashion my order was kinda out of the normal on some things but made sure of every detail as we waited for our food to be cooked we were sitting a little close to the colon where our same waitress was standing to order the next guest items when he yelled across the store she has to wait he had orders be4 her in a very a very irrelevant behavior ( cursing ) it was such a disturbance that some guests had to do a double take but I was close enough to tell him that is was very disappointing the way he was talking to her and I didn’t think it was right he told me politely o go F off. I was simply expressing the fact that it’s disrespectful to talk to a woman like that, she is someone’s wife and he wouldn’t talk to his wife like that. He then later on asked if there was still an issue and I waited till after I paid my bill to express my feelings about him and his actions and he told me to not worry about her or how she was treated, proceeding to curse profound words at me for not leaving the restaurant when told. Even Made sure that the waitress was Reimbursed extra for her excellent services that she didn’t deserve to be treated like that. With a gratuity of $20 on...

This was one of the most unprofessional places my wife and I have been too. I had to get vocal with a worker who found it appropriate to keep yelling across the restaurant in front of our trable. Kept reaching over our table as well which was invasive. Two coworkers couldn't get along and found it necessary to be more then vocal in front of everyone. The establishment was dirty and the tables were FILTHY and sticky. The cook had absolutely no idea what he was doing. We witnessed a customer get the wrong order and he "fixed" it in the most unappealing and professional way without care. To top it off ... My wife and I are now very sick due to the way they keep their food accessible to them to make things convenient yet it's unfortunate to the customer who consumes it. We will never be back.
