Worst experience ever, from the hostess to the kitchen. We arrived at 9:05, hostess rolled her eyes. They were clear they didn’t wanted have more guest, this location close at 10, im not sure why they didn’t hurry to seat us so they can speed the service to make sure we leave not later than 10pm, we are servers and we get it but I have never take it against the customer. anyway they were plenty of table but it took a few minutes to get seated. Hostess took us to the dirties table, and left fast, seems she tried to avoid we complain about it. I tried to reach her to request another table but she was gone, so we sat ourselves on the next table, we were facing the host station and we saw how the hostess (they were two) were mad that we change tables. You could see them gossiping and looking at us. Server wasn’t rude, but she took a while to take our order. She was fast with the drinks thoug. The order was taken at 9:30, even if the location was empty food took 30 min. We got food around 10pm. 1 hamburger, 1 wings and 2 steaks, my hamburger bum was rock, seems it was an old bread reheated. I tried to press it with my fingers and the bread didn’t move at all, I showed it to our server and I request to get a new bum. I gave her my hamburger and she brought another one. The bread was soft but COLD, seems they switch only the bread. I told my kids and they were shock, everyone touch their bum and agree with me, then My daughter order an steak with shrimps, the shrimp was totally raw, no pink at all, I took it and tried to split it in half and I couldn’t, so totally raw, I guess the kitchen was upset to get an order at 9:30, but isn’t our fault that our server took a while To take the order. My daughter appetite was gone after all the situations, I guess she felt bad that we were celebrating my BIRTHDAY that she didn’t want to make a deal, but I decided to get the server. I called the server that was closer to us and she was so upset that we call her, she stared at for a few second with an actitud face. I guess because we asked her the favor to call Our server the first time , that she was shocked that we were “bothering” again. she brought our server and she ask us what was wrong and we shared about the shrimp, she kind of doubt the shrimp was raw and I requested to get the plate removed from the bill, she didn’t touch the meat, she ate 10% of the patatoe, they also forgot to serve her bacon, the shrimp… so her appetite was gone with all this things, the server didn’t took the plate out for the bill and only discounted the bacon and shrimp. I was expecting they removed all the plate. We are good tippers. My daughter always leave 30 dollars as we all are servers and we get it, but this is the first time I see her putting less than 30, but even if the server wasn’t rude and kitchen mistakes aren her fault, she lacked to take care of us while we were there by no checking on us or taking to long to take the order, the first time in 4 years I have all my kids with me to celebrate, we wait until everyone was off from work and one of them fly to fLorida and I can’t believe kitchen hostess and server lacked of professionalism. I won’t be back, the employees that were working tonight need...
Read moreWhere to begin. We get there & get seated no problem. Cynthia greeted us & took our drink orders, which took forever to arrive. We ordered an appetizer which came out fine. My partner & I both ordered steaks, mine medium rare (which came out rare, but I ate it anyways). He ordered his rare, & it came out extremely well done. The food runner took it back to the kitchen to have them remake it. The issue started when the server, Cynthia, didn't even bother to acknowledge the fact that it had to be sent back. We understand people make mistakes, but as the server she should have atleast apologized on behalf of the kitchen. Ten minutes later, the general manager brings the plate back out & has us check it. Medium well at best this time. We're not the type to complain, but we're paying for a meal we expect it to be atleast close to what we're paying for. The manager also offered no apologies, but did bring it back once again. Our cups remained empty basically the entire time except for towards the very end when we had to call Cynthia over & ask for refills, & even then she asked if we wanted to go cups or regular cups as if we were leaving. We hadn't even gotten our "properly cooked" steak yet, so that question pretty much confirmed that she didn't even notice. The third & final time the manager brought back the steak, he had an attitude to him as if we were causing an issue. He then stated "it was rare last time so l'm gonna shine my flashlight so you can actually see it this time". Once again, it was far from rare but we were so fed up at That point that we just took it. Mind you, we've eaten at this establishment plenty of times & have never had a problem with our food being cooked incorrectly. He did tell us he was going to take half off of my partners meal for The inconvenience, which we did appreciate. When the bill came, he had not made the promised adjustments. If he hadn't offered a discount we would not have said a word, but don't offer something to somebody & not follow through with it, especially as the general manager of a restaurant. We went here for my birthday expecting a good experience, which left me eating a cold meal that sat for 30 minutes waiting for his to come out properly. All in all, the real issue doesn't come down to the food issue, it comes down to the lack of courtesy coming from management & our server. It is very obvious these people don't care about quality, therefore we will not...
Read moreI love Texas Roadhouse, I always have.
I eat many of their locations across our great State
Tonight's experience was less than stellar when it came to the food
The hostess was great, the server was great. Even the team members who brought the food out were great.
My first disappointment came when the hostess did not bring bread and cinnamon butter to the table. I was told it would be up shortly. This is one of the trademarks of Texas Roadhouse for them to fall behind in production. On a weeknight dinner shift just shouldn't be happening in my mind.
My salad was rock solid perfect, which is usuallythecase. I do love the 1000 island dressing. And the crumbled bacon for the salad is over the top.
The problem was with the steak and the baked potato.
As I started to open the baked potato up. Even the butter was staying a solid clump on top of it. You can see in the photo that it does not even look melted even though quite a few minutes have passed since it was brought to the table and the picture was taken.
What appeared to be a manager or at least a person of supervisory capacity came by and asked if everything was okay
I picked my baked potato up with my 2 fingers. And said this is not a hot baked potato. Truthfully, I should not have been able to lift it off the plate if it were served at the proper temperature
The woman promised to bring a replacement and did so a few minuteslater. Unfortunately, it was hardly any warmer than the potato I had rejected as being a problem
I left it at that and began eating my steak which also was not hot. It was definitely above room temperature. Just not hot.
The waitress did offer to replace the second potato but I really wanted to avoid having three strikes in one meal. That hurts the restaurant in my opinion at least for me
I have to believe that the kitchen manager was not on duty that day. Because this is not standard form for Texas Roadhouse.
One bad experience will not keep me away.
But someone needs to keep their Eye on things if they can bring out 2 lukewarm baked...
