I'm sharing my experience with the Palm Beach Gardens / Alton store from the perspective as a door dasher. First and foremost I am a neighborhood resident and homeowner and potential customer. I have picked up at this store as a doordasher before. My review is in reference to one of the workers who was extremely rude and inappropriate. When I transport food from the restaurant to the customer I am not legally contractually allowed to touch the food but I can and do go over the receipts to make sure everything has been properly added to the bags. This order was a large bag with food and five drinks which were set on the counter randomly. I asked her if she could give me a bag so that I could transport them more easily and together. She said no, no bag. I was taken aback and frankly a little shocked at her attitude so I thought maybe she misunderstood me and asked again if I could get a bag to make things easier and she said no and pointed to a shelf that was supposed to have those cardboard holders for drinks. In this case there happened to be one there and that was it. It's for 4 cups, I had 5. I placed them in the container and asked her to confirm that these were the right drinks since I am not allowed to open the lids and look inside. I am just trying to take care of the customers order properly. She told me I can read it myself. Wow! Simply unbelievable. I treat all workers at the restaurants and stores with respect and friendliness because I know they are working hard and this was completely unwarranted. I do not have her name but I do have a picture which I considered posting here but I will not. I myself have worked in the restaurant business and in fact on my owned my cafe. I just wanted to share my experience with this particular store to make corporate or the franchisee aware. I don't think this is what they want representing...
Read moreWhat an experience! The team at Habit Burger during my visit were amazing! I happened to be there for an extended time for a chess club that meet there. Here’s what I observed. Team work, cohesiveness and what appeared to be pride in their work. That’s right folks, it’s rare and often not seen in these parts, but it’s definitely there in the little Habit Burger off of Northlake Blvd., it’s that thing called pride and care. The establishment was maintained for cleanliness throughout the shift and routinely stocked. Honestly I really was so impressed by how well they all worked together and appeared to really care about what they were doing or rather maybe why. Either way, despite the fact that my wish would be to break down the language barrier that is there, it was still quite enjoyable to watch each of them do their thing. They all deserve and A++ in my book. Oh yes, and the food…the burger was cooked perfectly the bun had the perfect charbroiled taste. Fries were really very good. I did try the Parmesan fries. The sauce was on the side which was probably a good thing although the Parmesan could have been light tossed in the sauce to get the cheese to stick on the fries throughout the stack as it was kind of clumped on the top well cooked and I had to break it apart with my fork. Also had the Wild Berry Açaí Limeaid, was hoping for a bit more sweetness and tartness, however I still enjoyed it and would get it again. Definitely recommend Habit Burger off of Northlake Blvd. Clean, timely, pleasant experience, good food and quality...
Read moreI had a late lunch at Habit Burger Grill on Northlake today. My lunch experience was very disturbing. Apparently this location is a hangout for the some students from a nearby middle school. There were two “couples” just hanging out there. These children were engaging in acts which were very troubling. The girls looked around eleven and the boys seemed a lot older than the girls. The “couples” were openly kissing ang touching. As an adult, mother, educator and grandmother, I voiced my concerns to the Alex the store manager. He was very nonchalant about the situation and said there’s nothing he could do. I asked him how he would feel if the young girls were his daughters. He stated that they were not his daughters and he pretty much didn’t care. He went on with his explanation as to why he could not do anything in a loud and irate voice. It was such a sad situation. Do we as adults just turn the other way when we see the next generation heading the wrong way? I asked the cashier for the store number and the manager’s full name. Alex again became very loud and aggressive. Alex, how would the mothers of those girls feel if they knew you and your staff turned a blind eye to the inappropriate actions of their young children? Shame on you Alex and the person at Habit Burger Grill...
