Really like the food. The salads are awesome. It’s not the food that I’m writing a review about. It seems that out of my last five orders, (i’ve ordered much more than five times) 4 were incorrect when ordering online. The wrong salad dressing three times and then incorrect ingredients on another. They’re online ordering system is very easy to order on the app. However, the service call my afterwards when you go to pick up your order is horrible. I think out of the greater than 10 times I’ve ordered online, only once was I able to walk in the store and pick my order up from the shelf without any problems. Other than that, I’ve had to wait at least 10 minutes every time from the time it tells me to pick up my order and that it will be ready. I don’t like to bother the workers right away when I get to the store to pick my order up if it’s not ready. I give them another 5 to 7 minutes to see if the order will be placed on the shelf, even though it’s been almost 30 minutes from the time I ordered online. For example, I Recently placed an order at 12:30 for a pick up time at 12:52. Was there at 1 PM and my order was still not complete. So once again I had to speak with someone and they had to find my order and then start making my salad. So it overall took almost 20 minutes Of me waiting at the store. Meanwhile, there were several people, While I was waiting, who went in and out ordering when they got there. So it seems it’s a lot faster to go in the store and order than it is to order a half hour before hand. This seems a little ridiculous, but I guess that’s how it is. So if you order online expect to wait at least 10 or 20 minutes before your food is ready. It would be better off driving to the store and just walking into order to...
Read moreI like the food that this chain offers. It is far superior in both taste and value to competitors such as the lousy Sweetgreen. But this particular location suffers from poor management. I don't think they have replaced any of the furniture since this location first opened and numerous broken chairs continue to be in use. (Perhaps they like the idea of inviting lawsuits from customers who might be injured.) They also appear to give top priority to customers who place orders online, because at lunch time, what looks to be a hustling crew working behind the counter is spending more time dealing with carryout orders than worrying about everyone waiting in line. Once you get to the point where you pay for your order, as soon as you place your credit card in the reader (they don't accept cash), the employee who has taken care of your order seems to make a mad dash off to points unknown, so that if you need anything else, such as a receipt (God forbid) or extra napkins, or something is wrong with your order, you're going to be out of luck. As an extra word of warning: it seems that the salads are supposed to be served with a piece of rather tasty bread, which is not much larger than a salad crouton. Don't ask for an extra piece because they're going to charge you 89 cents. At that rate, I imagine the entire loaf of bread would be worth over $100. And it's not as though the salads are a great value to begin with. You are going to end up spending at least $13, and as you finish eating you may consider, This cost $13? It was just a salad. Perhaps that's where the...
Read moreI've been trying to incorporate more healthy options into my routine, so I was excited to try Just Salad in Palm Beach Gardens. The concept is definitely appealing - quick, customizable salads and wraps with eco-friendly practices.
On my visit, I ordered both their Caesar salad and Caesar salad wrap to compare the two formats because they both come highly recommended. Unfortunately, both were a bit underwhelming. The ingredients seemed fresh enough, but the flavor profile was rather bland. The dressing lacked the rich, garlicky punch you'd expect from a good Caesar, and the overall experience was just... mediocre. Neither bad enough to complain about nor good enough to crave again.
The staff was efficient and the restaurant was clean, which I appreciated. The ordering process was straightforward, and I liked the reusable bowl program they offer - it's a great sustainable initiative that more places should adopt.
I give them three stars because while the execution was average, I genuinely appreciate what Just Salad is trying to do. The concept of accessible, quick, healthy food options is something our area needs. With some flavor improvements and perhaps more generous portions, this place could easily earn another star or two.
If you're in a pinch and need something healthy on the go, it's an acceptable option - just don't expect to be wowed by their...
