Most vegan restaurants are places I would only go by myself or some of my vegan friends because the options are limited and the taste of the dish is lame.
This place has a ton on of variety, the preparation of each dish is over the top, and each dish is exploding with flavor.
The great thing about this place is that I can legitimately bring any friend of mine even non-vegans to this place and they will walk away completely satisfied and even be open to the idea of eating vegan.
The first time I went here I brought my parents who are definitely non-vegan and they could not tell that the burger and chicken that they had were not real meat. My dad kept insisting that the chicken patty had some real meat in it.
The best part about this place is that it has a great atmosphere and everybody has a great attitude. I struck up a conversation with Danny (I think 🤔 he is the owner) and he was very knowledgeable about the entire spectrum of vegan food.
Danny also shared with us that he has spent time over at the Hippocrates health institute which helps me to understand his level of commitment and understanding of the vegan lifestyle.
My girlfriend and myself are both raw vegans and we eat raw vegan food 95% of the time so going to a restaurant like this that we is not raw is definitely out of the ordinary for us. We got the pancakes with blueberries, the chicken and waffles, the chicken sandwich, the egg scramble, and my dad got the impossible burger. Each dish was over the top and especially the sausage flavor infused waffles were amazing 🤩.
I am just glad that there is a place like this for people to experience how vegan food can be just as good as non-vegan food.
It would be great to have some more raw vegan options for people that wanted to eat a little bit cleaner on...
Read moreIf ever in West Palm Beach Florida you must check out Plant Based Mafia where the motto is "We don't whack animals, we whack plants." This restaurant prepares traditional Italian dishes with a vegan twist and the results.... fuhgettaboutit!!! The decor and ambiance took this New Yorker straight back to Mullberry street (Little Italy). They are known for the house made "sweet and spicy sauce" and it is the in incredible. We started with the "Vegan Hangover" appetizer which consisted of a large plate of potato wedges with melted mozzarella, impossible meat, caramelized onions, and peppers topped off with the signature sweet-heat marinara. The flavor combinations just exploded in my mouth, and each bite seemingly melted off the fork as soon as it entered my mouth. This huge appetizer plate was enormous! The dinner plates we ordered were the "NOT YOUR GRANDMA'S RIGATONI" and "THE JOHNNY GLEESON ALL GROWN UP". The rigatoni dish was something quite different then we have ever had, it consisted of Award-winning sweet rigatoni, topped with the sweet-heat marinara, melted mozzarella, house-made sweet ricotta, blueberry or plain, and topped with powdered sugar. It was the best vegan ricotta cheese we ever had and the sweet and spice was incredible mix and very very different then anything we have ever had. The chicken dish consisted of Hand-battered fried chicken cutlet with melted provolone served over a bed of angel hair pasta. Topped with the signature sweet-heat marinara. The chicken was crispy and tasted heavenly with the sweet heat and cheese. They even treated us to a birthday celebration Zeppole! The meal on a whole was filling and wholesome, with a real Italian restaurant vibe, as they reminded us, "when you're here, you're family" one big...
Read moreI've been wanting to try this place for a while, and yesterday I went here to eat with my partner for New Years! I ordered The Johnny Gleeson and he ordered The Johnny Gleeson All Grown Up. Those items were so tasty and I would highly recommend it for anybody who's unsure about what they'd like to order from here. The 'chicken' on both were crispy and paired well with their tomato sauces. Don't even get me started on how perfect and crispy the hashbrowns were. They were so tasty in fact, I forgot to take a picture of those items. The presentation and amount was fantastic. Now, before we ate our main course we ordered the Big Daddy Mac to share as an appetizer. When the item arrived, I noticed that the noodles were extremely bare, with hardly any 'cheese' sauce. But I held hope that maybe that was how it was supposed to be. We began eating and didn't want to finish it because it we were basically eating dry noodles. It was dissapointing because the Big Daddy Mac is 23 dollars. I think perhaps it was a mistake on our Big Daddy Mac, because after taking it home I also realized it was missing the toppings (some kind of hot sauce?) Anyhow, we'd totally love to come eat here again, but we probably won't order that item if that's how it was meant to be. The server (I didn't catch his name but we came around 6) was really kind and really made us feel welcomed!
Edit:
I came here for Valentines and they redid our Big Daddy Mac for us without charge. It was actually amazing and creamy with a lot of 'cheese' sauce. Thank you for fixing the mistake, that was really kind of you and your employees! We will come here to eat on holidays often :) Updated with...
