The pizza toppings were piled high and the taste was great... but that was over shadowed by several things. From a distance you see this wonderful covered patio, up close you realize why no one is sitting there. Everything is covered in dirt and dead leaves. We walked in and were ignored for a few minutes before a staff member noticed us and asked if we were dining in. The staff member was sitting at a table where an adult male was eating, and the staff member was rolling silverware. I thought maybe it was the owner... nope, just another patron. Seems not the best practice to roll silverware where someone is eating while simultaneously ignoring new patrons that enter. Floor was dirty and walls were dirty but the table itself seemed clean and they offer gluten free pizza crusts so we stayed. However, we shortly took notice of the amount of flies inside, they were everywhere. Pizza arrived quickly and tasted great... unfortunately, I had one piece before finding a black hair in my food that did not look like head hair. They were super apologetic and comped the meal. Very genuine and seemed like they truly wanted to make up for it. I want to like this place so much, great pizza ideas and the taste was great... but the cleanliness inside and out leaves quite a bit to be desired. There were several employees on duty, most of them just standing around or sitting with friends chit chatting at a table, so why...
Read moreI have been coming here for 3 years and the pizza is one of the better options in the desert.
However, after tonight we will never spend another dollar here. We came in tonight at dinner time around 630 or so, the server just stared at me and wife till we asked to dine in. He said just grab a table, we sit down and he absolutely will not acknowledge me. No response to how are you doing today or your welcome to my thank you’s, nothing.
We give it around 15-20 minutes or so he circulates multiple tables, multiple times and ignores us. While he is upbeat and holding conversations with every other table. As we were getting ready to pay for our soda and leave due to lack of service a lady came over and asked if we needed anything. My wife placed our pizza order and I ask what the kids deal is, he won’t serve us and she just says sorry.
Our pizza is ready, he literally just brings it over and puts it on the holder and starts to walk away as my wife asked for ranch, not a single word was said but he did bring the ranch.
The kid goes to the register and starts making Asian jokes about bonzai trees and doing it in an Asian accent.
We eat a couple pieces and my wife is so infuriated at this point so she pays and we just cut out dinner early.
Never have we experienced such blatant racism with no management or anything to do...
Read moreSo I don’t leave many reviews and don’t take leaving a one star review lightly BUT…we went here while visiting Palm Springs based on so many raving google reviews. First, the place was packed (seemed like a further good sign). Server was very casual but friendly (not a concern). We started with cheese sticks and they were good. The pizza however was terrible! Both myself and my co-worker were caught off guard by how bad it was. We had ordered extra cheese so the crust under the toppings was “doughy” so we asked them to throw it back in. This was not a big deal as we used the time to try to figure out why it tasted bad. We determined that the pepperoni tasted “funky” and the crust tasted “premade”. When the pizza came back, we removed the pepperoni but it still was awful so we left 2/3 of the pizza and paid the bill in full. We did not highlight the concern because ….all the patrons (senior citizens) around us were raving about how great the pizza was here and how they are regulars. Honestly ours tasted like something you would get at a gas station or a bad frozen pizza. We were perplexed! It is irrelevant but I was further confused by the Chicago Bears theme in the restaurant when this is NOT Chicago style pizza (?). So I am not saying don’t eat here but I can say that we found the pizza...
