XANTI’S COFFEE — Restaurant in Palm Desert

It was one of those mornings where you need caffeine before the world officially wakes up. I rolled into the mall around 10:40 a.m., knowing the shops inside didn’t open until 11. The funny thing? While the retail was still shuttered, the cafés and entertainment spots were already buzzing. That contrast — empty storefronts on one side, the smell of fresh coffee on the other — gave the whole place a quiet but inviting vibe.

I walked into Xanti’s and ordered two drinks: a strong macchiato (because sometimes you just need that punch) and a hot lavender matcha for balance. Total was $11.25, which felt more than fair. I tried paying with a $100 bill, but the barista politely explained they couldn’t take it. No stress, no attitude — just professional and smooth.

Service really stood out here. The barista, a friendly guy with calm energy, not only took the order but noticed I’d settled into my phone at the table. A couple of minutes later, he personally brought both drinks over. That simple gesture made the experience feel way more personal than you’d expect from a mall coffee stop.

As for the drinks? The macchiato was bold, clean, and exactly the kind of kick I needed. The lavender matcha surprised me — creamy, floral, not too sweet, just enough to feel like a treat. Together, they struck a perfect balance: one to wake me up, one to slow me down.

So yeah, it’s technically “just” a coffee spot in a mall, but don’t let that fool you. Between the timing, the vibe, and the barista’s extra touch, it was one of those experiences...

The BEST strawberry matcha ever!!! I popped in to this new shop and decided to try it out. Ingrid and Jorge were sooooo nice. The strawberry matcha was amazing. It was the right amount of sweetness and the strawberry foam wad delightful. I saw the barista whisk the ceremonial matcha with care. After walking around the mall for a bit we decided to come back and have lunch. I had the Spicy Avocado Toast and a butterfly lemonade. The spicy avocado toast was perfect. Two days later and I’m still dreaming of the toasted sourdough bread. The butterfly lemonade was perfectly balanced as well. After talking to Jorge for a bit, I found out he was the owner. Excellent new coffee spot in the desert! Stumbled in on it as I was Christmas shopping in the palm desert mall.

They really take care of the costumers and take allergies and food restrictions very seriously! Which was appreciated as my gf can’t have tree nuts.

We ordered a mocha and a matcha latte both were made with care BUT the matcha latte was made with extra care! They whisked the ceremonial grade matcha powder in a ceramic matcha bowl with a bamboo whisk!
