12/9/2018 I recently moved to the Palmdale area. Been checking out different restaurants in the area when I stumbled across Waffle Kitchen. I saw a lot of mixed reviews and was unsure if I wanted to try it. I am SO glad that I did!!
I stopped in Sunday morning around 8:30AM. Ordered the whole waffle breakfast. The waffles were crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. I asked for the bacon (4 pieces) crisp. Bacon was perfectly crisp.
The waffles had such an amazing flavor to them. Next time I think I will ask for them to be topped with fruit. The scrambled eggs were way better than any sit down (not fast food) restaurant. Bacon was applewood smoked and super tasty!!
Now let's get to the service. When I walked in there was only 1 table seated. I wondered why the heck is this place so empty on a Sunday morning. There was not anybody up front to greet me. At first I thought it may take some time and then before I knew it this gal appeared from the back and greeted me. I told her that I ordered take out. She asked me my name and told me to hold on a sec. Another gal, super pretty (not that it matters, but!! lol) came out and had my order with her. She was very nice (didn't catch her name) in my communicating with her. I could feel through the containers that the food was piping hot. Smelled really good. She told me next time I should dine in because the food would be fresher. The place I moved into is just under a mile away from the place so i knew that would not be an issue.
Overall my experience was excellent. Next time I think I will dine in there. I asked the gal who had my order why it was so empty for a Sunday morning. She told me it is usually busier. I told her if the food was as good as the service that I would post a positive Yelp review. If you are in the East Palmdale area definitely check...
Read moreThis restaurant was a bad experience for me. On this PreSuperBowl Sunday about 10:15 a.m., I noticed that the restaurant seemed like there were people crowding inside the front door. But I looked around the parking lot and I noticed that it wasn't very busy; there weren't that many cars in the lot. I continued to try this restaurant out. When I got inside the restaurant, the crowding was because there was no one available to seat the guests. I was waiting long enough to notice that no one came to the guests to let them know and or maybe apologize for the wait. There were no customers visible in the dining area and nor were there customers in the dining area in the bar area. The young man who came to seat the guests seemed like a bus person who would clear tables. He wore a towel strown on his shoulder. He seemed unsure, as if he suddenly had another task added onto the job ge already had; but he did ok. I observed other persons who appeared to be waitresses; they only waited on the guests who were already seated. The incident described was the second time that there was no one to greet the guests, or advise the customer that was a delay, or even apologize for not being available. While the waitress was very attentive and professional, I can't say I enjoyed my meal. My first incident happened about two weeks earlier on a week day mid-morning. There were no customer present in the dining area. Waffle Kitchen, I can't say that I would patronize your restaurant in my future. You'll need to do something about that entrance into your kitchen. The personnel shortage and the pandemic excuse is not going to ride forever. The virus impact is a way of life. Good...

Order a breakfast pizza that comes with eggs and was charged $1.97 for eggs after the manger Bobby told me that he will take care of the bill due to one of the waitresses taken over the table that didn’t belong to her after I was told me I couldn’t order the kids meal, but I was still charged for everything after he told that he would take care of the bill . Had mascoto and the glass had old food stuck on it, this was the 1st and last time it’s sad how this establishment is ran it’s like no one knows what they are doing this place is very unprofessional and the owner need to pop up once in a wild and I will b contacting the health department it’s nasty for the bar tender to serve drinks with old food stuck to the glass and the worse thing about it the manager brought it over to the table and if I hadn’t been standing there watching I believed the the bar tenders was gonna just pour the drink into the new glass .
