Food was ok. What's really upsetting is what showed up at my door. I could give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the handful of open ranch cups all over the bag were from Doordash, not them, but the rest of it is definitely their fault. Hair, and not just in the container for my kids burger, but IN the food too, so that happened there in the kitchen, not on its way here. And not just the burger; my cheesecake, which is advertised with berries/sauce (but came without it), had hair too. Lastly, I paid for extra marinara so we could each have our own cup. I got no extra marinara. Hair in food, didn't include things that were supposed to be included, didn't give me things I paid extra for, everything's covered in ranch. Very very very disappointing.
In response to their response, the app gave me the option to pick "extra sauce" for the mozzarella sticks. And the picture on doordash AND here on Google show cheesecake with sauce and berries and it gave no option to add on the berries that it says are included. Maybe go look at doordash. It says "typically comes with strawberries" but they're optional, and gives no option to include or not include them, so one would assume since it's in the pic and says comes with strawberries that it comes with strawberries but maybe that's my fault for assuming I'd get what I chose on the screen. I didn't expect a response, but explaining why it's not your fault is certainly not the response I want. I can't believe you didn't apologize for the MANY hairs in the containers and on the food, or the ranch all over everything. Of all the ways to respond "you didn't pay for that" was a weird choice. I did. I paid for what was on screen, what was described and photographed. And I paid for extra marinara on my end. Sounds like you need to talk to doordash if you care about your customers. By the way that you dodged any responsibility or avoided any apology, I can't imagine you'll...
Read moreDisappointed with Online Ordering and Bland Food
We were excited to try AK Best Philly's as the menu offered great options, and the convenience of online ordering for pick-up was appealing. However, the online ordering process left a bad taste in our mouth (figuratively!). At checkout, we were surprised to be prompted for a tip before receiving any service. Since it was pick-up, the tip felt unearned, and frankly, a bit pressured. We opted not to tip at that point.
Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't much of a pick-me-up. The sandwiches seemed unbalanced, with an overwhelming amount of bread compared to the fillings. The taste was underwhelming overall, lacking any real flavor punch. To top it off, the salad arrived without dressing, adding to the general sense of blah.
Overall, between the unexpected tip prompt and the disappointing food, we're...
Read moreOur first time here, but because we needed to fly out of Alaska that night, we couldn't order something that would be carried out as leftovers. Hence, we didn't order Phillies. Staff was awesome . Took the time to explained the menu items, sandwich sizes,, etc. Kept drinks filled, all around pleasant to interact with. I ordered a Ruben instead of the philly. I am always on the hunt for the best Ruben out there, and unfortunately, still looking. It was good, just not great. If I were to order one again, I would certainly request a side of sauerkraut to put on the sandwich. It did not come with 1000 island, and promptly received when ask for. I felt the sandwich only had about 1/3 the "kraut" I felt it needed. The frys were yummy, freshly cooked, well done as requested. The wife and I will come back again and order a philly one...
