I love Wendy's so I'm happy that this restaurant is here in Palmer. The staff are always wonderfully polite and I've never had any issues with quality of my food or the customer service.
My biggest complaint with this location is that they are simply sold out of certain items very often. While I can understand that it may be difficult to maintain stock of Wendy's specialty items such as spicy nuggets or specialty dressings or buns, I am frustrated that the things most often sold out are just common things such as lettuce or potatoes.
I have fast food management experience and would never allow my restaurant to be "sold out" of common items I could purchase locally. For example, if I did not order enough lettuce for salad, I would go to the grocery store and purchase a few heads of lettuce and add it to my food cost. Same for potatoes. I know purchases like this are more costly, but they should be rare.
I believe this restaurant may suffer from poor management at some level. I don't know that it's at the store manager level or higher, but to regularly run out of such trivial things as vegetables means that either someone can't project product demand and fails to order enough, or that food cost is being prioritized over customer needs. That can be a result of top-down scrutiny or it can be a failure on local management.
I say all that to say this. Due to how often I'm unable to get the products I want from this restaurant, I've generally stopped going here. They have amazing salads, when you can actually get them. But so far I've only been able to get a salad about 50% of the time. ...
Read moreWent through the drive through. Servers and manager were unreasonably angry about something. I ordered 6 meals (2 Dave's double, 1 Dave's single, 2 baconators, and 1 pretzel pub burger meal). After waiting for my meals they opened the window and handed me 2 small bags. I knew that wasn't all of it and asked "is this all of it?" They replied, "yes it is, have a good day :)" and closed the window. I took their word for it assuming maybe they fit it all into those 2 bags but alas, after we hit the highway back home my brother in the passenger seat tells me, "bro. How many burgers did you order?" I reply, "I ordered 6, is there 6 in there?" He tells me, "no bro. There's only 2 burgers."
My heart sunk. The only burgers in there was a Dave's double and a pub burger. They japed me a whole 4 burgers. And it was too late to turn around.
I had a feeling they knew. The snide smirk on the servers face as she said "Yep! That's everything!" I don't know if they were having a bad day and needed some lunch or something. I don't believe I was being rude at all. Maybe they thought my order was too large. However at the end of the day they still took my 4 burgers from me.
I wasn't gonna put a review on this since I don't want this restaurant getting any more recognition. (I mean the things inside of a gas station). But I feel like I'm obligated to let the people know. This Wendy's will not give you what you want. They took my 4 burgers. I didn't even get to eat. Don't make the same mistake I did unless you want to starve. Act accordingly my friends.

Read moreI absolutely love Wendy's especially with their rewards app and awesome food. That being said I live in Palmer where there is very limited fast food options. Yet, I would still rather eat food out of the trash at McDonald's then go back to Wendy's in Palmer. They never have scanners up for people to acquire reward points they never have a stocks kitchen and seem to be missing cheese or hamburger patties all the time. Kind of an oddity for a fast food burger joint. It took me over 20 minutes to get my reward double stack burger at which point they tried to charge me for it and then got my order wrong still. So my free Burger was not made the way I wanted at which point I asked if I could just get a refund for my reward points...... This ended in another charge for another burger that I did not want and it was made wrong again when trying to explain my situation to the attendant she had to get her supervisor at which point her supervisor got upset with me because he could not seem to figure out that I wanted my burger made right and didn't want to pay for a burger that was not made correctly. So now I'm out reward points and money for burgers that were made incorrectly. I could try to call the Wendy's 800 number yet last time I did that I didn't get the refunded reward points in fact my points decreased.
