Visiting SF for two weeks and came here three times! The ice cream here is terrific and creative. My favorite was their July flavor, picked strawberry banana nato bread, Mt atam cheese, matcha with blueberries, salted caramel is also an all people's favorite. So many flavors and the flavors for August is farmers market themed and it tastes really good too! I personally enjoy the carrot cake batter.
Price wise, I guess it's pretty standard for the bay area, on the higher side to me, someone who doesn't live in the city. However, I must say it's worth every penny with the quality it offers.
Apart from the ice cream they make, it is the staff who work here that brings this location to another level. They are not stingy about letting you sample the flavors. I ended up trying most flavors in store!
Another delightful story: Jess, who helped me today, offered me her weekly free pint of ice cream, as I was indecisive on whether to go for one or two pints because of the money I spent solely on ice cream for the sleepover with my friends this weekend. Mind you I already have another pint unopened at home! Now I ended up with three pints of ice cream to share with my friends this weekend. How wonderful!
Thank you, Salt & Straw for sharing your professionalism and happiness to your customers. Please keep up the awesome work!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWOOOOOO. Late at night craving ice cream Salt and Straw is the place to go! Until you see the crazy line which I always hate but is always there when I go to salt n straw. However the wait in line is worth it, and if you donāt have enough time to wait in line to buy a scoop you can buy a pint of any flavor you want and skip the line which I love! We waited in line and when we got to the front we got a server who didnāt look super happy and was not patient with us at all as we asked for samples which we didnāt appreciate at all. It was a busy night but it was no reason for him to be rude. We were still able to get our ice cream and man it is so good. I especially love Salt n Strawās Coffee love nuts which has a super strong creamy coffee flavor with toffee bits and sweetened pecans. So tasty and refreshing on a warm night! The jasmine milk tea with almond stracciatella was a flavor that was soon going to be rotated out so I am glad I tried it. It was also really tasty but its flavors were more subtle and focused more on the almond than the tea which is fine. OVERALL definitely visit Salt n Straw and get those samples! The ice cream is so creamy and tasty with many unique and fascinating flavors that are all equally good in my opinion....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat and unique flavors of ice-cream. Their split scoop option definitely allows you to easily try multiple flavors without having to opt for a double scoop albeit a bit smaller than the size of a normal scoop. A bit costly, but thatās likely due to the cost of business in the area. Their Sea Salt w/ Caramel Ribbons was a bit too salty for my liking but that aside was pretty enjoyable. The Honey Lavender was my favorite, itās quite refreshing, mellow, enjoyable, and bathing you in tones of lavender that relax you. It pairs well the Arbequina Olive Oil, which by itself is also pretty good, a bit quirky but light and refreshing. The Pear and Blue Cheese is another quirky flavor with chunks of blue cheese and pear, the flavor profile varies from bite to bite. The bites of pear being a moist, fruity and delightful party on the taste buds and the bites with blue cheese being a bit dry, salty and sharp with a spectrum of creaminess. Definitely worth the visit, and I highly recommend the Honey Lavender and the Pear and Blue Cheese minus the Blue Cheese (which on itās own would have easily been the highlight of my visit). Unfortunately I didnāt take pics, but I will get some on my next visit to try...
