$16 for the smallest Acai bowl ever made. Can you believe it?
I've also had their avocado toast, which uses cheap grocery store bread. Unfortunately the bread wasn't even toasted, the avocado was severely under-ripe...and wasn't smashed onto the toast so It was impossible to eat without making a mess. Such a small piece of bread for $17! I'm surprised they give you two eggs, which didn't smell fresh. Try serving one egg, on better quality bread, instead. The menu is quite large so I'm sure the staff isn't having fun keeping up and being forced to use low-quality ingredients and serve small portions. The staff seems well intentioned so I know they know better with the food. The quality could definitely improve, try serving fewer items and use better ingredients, we deserve better. And please stop serving cheap pastries at astronomical prices, get a few good pastries from a local baker and then serve them at astronomical prices, I will still pay. The raw garlic sauce (house sauce) doesn't belong on avocado toast!! Raw garlic and egg at 8 am? No...
Read moreThe Farm is a pivot from the former pizza only restaurant space next to Baume off California Avenue in Palo Alto.
It’s a bright, clean and welcoming space serving brunch and breakfast as well as lunch and coffee/tea service.
We dropped by in the morning and shared a breakfast platter and caught up in the open space before shopping in the area.
The restaurant has a brunch menu available from 7 AM and a lunch/dinner menu available from 11 AM. The brunch menu features a diverse selection of savory (breakfast sandwich) and sweet (waffle) dishes while the later menu features soups, salads and pizza.
We tried the Benedict as well as some coffee drinks. You order at the cashier and they’ll bring your order table side.
I think the space will be great for remote workers and several dining spaces did offer outlets. It’s a step up from Starbucks or Peet’s and reminds me of places like Coupa Cafe.
📷 Benedict ~ $16 / Cortado $5.50 / Green Tea $4.50.
Dining is open indoor only and reservations are not required. All credit cards including AmEx...
Read moreI was trying to place an order online for breakfast and their website (not Uber or Doordash) was not letting me choose the side that came with the dish to proceed with the order. I called to explain the issue and instead of just taking my order by phone, he started to troubleshoot the issue with me (which I had already done prior to calling). Once establishing that it was still not letting me make the online order, I was told they would not be able to take my order at all. There was no option to take it over the phone and I was not invited to make it in person. This was the most absurd response I've ever heard from a restaurant relying on customer business. I will never bother with this location again. I've never heard such a ridiculous response to an online...
