So, I don't usually go a full 5 across the board, but was surprised by this one. The menu is a modern American take on Polish dishes and vise versa with a Polish twist on American staples. You really can find almost anything you would expect to find at a quick diner establishment. The ambiance is nothing special, a typical Chicagoland quick sitdown... except a little more. The feeling doesn't say you're home having a home cooked meal, but the longer you're there the more it gives that warm embrace and ambiance.
The cost of items on the menu have obviously changed, being they're different than the board they were printed on. However, nothing stands out as overpriced or ridiculous. Everything is made to order so there is a small wait time - they nail it with their "slow fast food" marketing. Yet even the small wait makes this even more worth it, everything comes out fresh, and doesn't have a mass purchase bulk item they prep and plate feel - everything tastes either homemade or higher end quality.
It's a nice change of pace. Items on the menu hit all the cultural points of the surrounding area to really have an option for everyone in the party. Wife and I did lunch, spent maybe 10 minutes from order to food and while we went more American staples, they all had a slight Polish touch to them that really made them familiar and yet completely different. BLT was massive compared to what we expected, the "highlander take" on a classic Philly was completely unexpected and yet really works. Breaded mushrooms were great [I can't stand them normally] and the perogi... just get the perogi!
All in all it was as expected yet at the same time nothing like we expected. Counter server was polite and a delight, back house staff work quick and to a level of perfection you won't expect first visit. Definitely going to be telling everyone to check this place out and will be back many more times to chip away at the...

Sylvia helped us at the front counter and was very patient. They have a huge selection and she was super helpful explaining some popular items. I asked her about the perogies and the blinz. She stated all homemade. We couldn't decide so we ended up getting 2 gyros plates a side of cheese perogies and strawberry blinzes. Omg I was in hog heaven. My grandmother is from Poland. I felt I was in my buschias kitchen for a moment. When we placed the order we knew we couldn't eat all of that and asked if it would be ok to get take home containers. She gave us 3 and a big bag. We will definitely be back when in the area. If you love gyros and polish food you need to try this quaint place out. For you gamblers, they have 5 slot machines on the back...
