My girlfriend and I went here about 6:45pm, ordered a hooter brown and a Long Island. The bartender, Kerry, inspected my girlfriend’s ID (she’s 21) and barely looked at my ID (I’m 27). Gave me my hooter brown immediately, but forgot about my girlfriend’s Long Island for about 20 minutes. She was completely fine though! The bartender was busy, and my girlfriend is in the service industry as a bartender, so she really was not upset about how long the drink took, she understands and reassured the bartender that she was not upset and Kerry could take her time, we were just having a good time. We ordered 3 pc. Garlic knots (absolutely delicious, this is a must when going to Nicks pizza), then after our appetizer, we ordered a pizza: half pepperoni half cheese. After about 30 or so minutes, the bartender, Kerry, came back up to us and asked us if we were waiting on pizza, we replied yes, then she informs us she might not have rang in the order. Completely fine, again, we were having a good time with our drinks and the amazing atmosphere. Kerry comes over and asks us “did you say half pepperoni half sausage?”, in which we replied, “half pepperoni half cheese please”. She walks back to the kitchen, then about 5 minutes later she comes back and says she is not serving us anymore. I thought it was a funny joke she was playing with us, but then she dropped the bill off, which didn’t even have all of the things we ordered on it, and said “I have a right as a bartender to not serve you anymore. If you don’t pay your bill, I will call the cops.” Okay…….. We were very confused by this. We don’t understand what we did to offend this woman, and she wouldn’t tell us what we did either. She then proceeded to talk to EVERY OTHER person at the bar about how she was having a bad day and apologized to every other bar guest but us. I then stepped up and talked to another employee about the problem we were facing, who then got a manager to mediate the situation. The employee who I talked to and the manager we talked to were absolutely amazing. They immediately came to the rescue the second there was an issue, and reassured us that we were not in the wrong. The manager (we forgot to ask his name, but he was absolutely amazing) paid for our meal, personally made another beer for me, and apologized on behalf of the company. He handled this situation with absolute grace, and HE is the reason that we WILL be returning to Nicks pizza. The manager on the night of 9/23/2025 is absolutely amazing and should get all of the good benefits and things coming towards him in life. The pizza and garlic knots are quite amazing. We recommend this place to everyone, and we will continue to. We just had a weird experience...
Read moreI've had Nick's on my radar for a few years now but never got around to getting down there to try it. Well for my birthday this year, it was my mission to finally put this notch on my belt.
My wife, son, and I arrived just before 6 pm on Friday evening, January 26. There were plenty of open parking spots and we found one right in front of the door. We walked in and saw the counter with what resembled an buffet right in front of us. The menu was posted on the wall above and toward the latter part of the counter.
My wife opted for the garlic knots and 1 slice of cheese pizza. I had made my mind up when I first read about Nick's - I was going for a slice of the meat lovers Godfather. We were given our cups for the self serve fountain drinks which I got while my wife found us a place to sit.
It wasn't blasted type busy, but it was bustling. I can't imagine what it's like during the peak tourist season. (Side note - the off-season is my favorite time of year to visit the Emerald Coast. ) There were maybe 20-25 people total in there divided between 8-10 parties. It wasn't difficult at all to find a seat.
After about 10-15 minutes our order arrived. The garlic knots were served with a marinara dipping sauce and were very dense, hot, chewy, garlicky and fantastic. I only ate one (they were my wife's after all) because I still had this 1 ½ inch thick slice of pie covering an entire 10" paper plate to eat.
First of all, this thing was HOT. And if that wasn't enough to make it difficult to pick up and eat, it was huge! After 3 or 4 attempts at taking a bite that resulted in a scorched tongue or burnt lips, I finally got to it.
Y'all, it was SOOO good! It was filled with meats and cheese and was incredibly tasty. The crust was soft and chewy, but crispy at the same time. The only thing I found disappointing was the lack of enough sauce. If you've ever read any of my reviews, you know that I love extra sauce. Luckily this wasn't a big deal as my wife didn't touch the marinara that came with the garlic knots and I was able to use it. Next time I go, I will ask for extra sauce on the pizza. I may have to order a whole pie then, but so be it.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience and I really want to go back before all the Spring Breakers invade in a couple of months. I want to get the extra sauce and see if we can get to that full 5 star experience I...
Read moreNick's is a nice slice of NYC sitting right day in PCB. My Uncle David lives in the area who we are visiting and he raves about this place. He brought us there for dinner. Great atmosphere and looks inside like a local pizza joint. Lots of signed pictures of athletes and celebs who have visited, some signed jerseys. They have a display with a bunch of pizzas and Stromboli that you can pick from. They have a nice bar with Rose bartending. Rose was a treat! Also looks like they have some eating challenge, we got just a slice, which was hugh, so can't even imagine. We ordered a slice of Sicilian, Pepperoni, cheese, The Godfather, garlic knots and Meatball Grinder. All of the pizza was great, true NYC style. Sicilian is a deep dish style with sauce on top. All were good, but the Meatball Grider was the star. First thing the meatballs are about the size of a pool ball. Then it took a little longer for the meatball grinder to come out then the pizza because they make them fresh and don't cook them until you order them. They then use kind of a baguette sub that is nice and crispy but they don't put any sauce on it. The sauce comes on the side so you can add as much or little or even dip your meatball and bread into. This makes it so it doesn't get all soggy and fall apart. I've eaten meatball subs my entire life and this is by far the best that I've ever had. They do have some outdoor seating and across the road you can see the beach and ocean. I definitely would recommend Nick's to anyone. There was a pretty good flow of people in and out of the place. If you're looking to get away from some of the bar types or seems restaurant Nick's is a great place to grab a good slice, a beer and...
