THE SALTY GOAT SALOON — AYYYYY OHHHH!!! WE’RE BACK, BABY.
Let me set the scene. I crawled into The Salty Goat Saloon like a broken woman—emotionally damaged by a Starbucks pool-noodle panini and traumatized by a bowl of Dusty’s gumbo that looked like a toddler had a blowout at sea. I had accepted my fate. I was ready to die in Panama City Beach.
AND THEN… THE GOAT APPEARED.
This place? A dive bar. A biker bar. A sports bar. A salvation station. It’s like if Cheers got a tattoo, bought a Harley, and started lifting weights behind a Waffle House.
Walked in? Live music blaring. Not some sad guy named Cody playin’ Ed Sheeran—this band had facial hair and trauma. They played like their exes were in the crowd and owed them money.
$5 Tito’s on a Tuesday. I said, “What’s in it?” Bartender goes, “Redemption and a splash of lemon.” I tipped him my uterus.
The crowd? Locals. Not “PCB influencers with puka shells and protein powder”—I’m talkin’ REAL people. One guy said he once got struck by lightning and sued the cloud. A woman named Darlene told me she’s been divorced twice and only cries during NASCAR. I would trust her with my house keys and my passwords.
TVs everywhere—sports on every screen—and not one guy yellin’ about his fantasy team or tryin’ to explain crypto with BBQ sauce on his face. This bar moves at the speed of purpose, not like the rest of Panama City, which operates at the pace of Weekend at Bernie’s with a hangover.
And the best part? No mayonnaise fish chunks. No swamp gumbo diaper stew topped with a suicidal shrimp. This was actual food and real drinks served by people who don’t hate you for existing. It’s like God opened a dive bar, hired his funniest angels, and said, “Let there be Tito’s.”
The Salty Goat is not just a bar—it’s a f*in’ rebirth. It’s an adult Chuck E. Cheese for people with tattoos, bad knees, and unprocessed rage.
If you skip this place? That’s on you. Go chew on Dusty’s rubber seafood and pray to Yelp for forgiveness.
Antonia Grippa out. AYYYYY...
Read moreWe came here twice while vacationing. The first time we walked over due to being close to our hotel. The bartender who served us on that Thursday night was awesome! Very attentive and polite. The shrimp basket with cole slaw was good! We had an awesome time and live band. We decided to go back Saturday night. We entered and went straight to counter. The brunette late 20's bartender who was working that afternoon- had a attitude! Unfortunately, she served us! She was upset that we decided not to order adult beverages. "Oh my lord jesus" under her breathe. Hungry for tips maybe? She appeared upset bc we didn't know what we wanted after she gave us the menu. "I'll be back when you guys know what you want" sarcastically. We didn't even know what we wanted. At that point, we just kept it simple considering its 7pm in Panama City Beach. All restaurants are packed out or we would have left. We got a black box that highlights when order was ready, we choose to sit outside and watch the weather. I didn't want to sit at the bar. We would have stayed longer and possibly spent more money if she didn't have such a bad attitude. We ate and left. Highlight the weather was awesome to watch from the...

I recently visited The Salty Goat Bar in Panama City during a bachelorette party with a group of 17 ladies, and I must say, our experience was completely ruined by the behavior of a bouncer named Nick on 10/17/2024.
While one of the women in our group was dancing on a bench, Nick approached her in an aggressive manner, yelling obscenities and demanding she get down. She complied immediately, yet he continued to escalate the situation by yelling in the faces of our group members. To make matters worse, he unprovokedly grabbed another woman by the arm, which was both unnecessary and alarming.
As a large group spending a considerable amount of money at your establishment, we expected to be treated with respect and dignity. Instead, we were met with hostility from a staff member who clearly couldn’t control his anger. It’s incredibly disheartening that one individual’s poor behavior can overshadow what was supposed to be a fun and celebratory evening.
I hope management addresses this issue because it sadly reflects on your establishment as a whole. I won’t be returning, and I would advise others to think twice...
