Krystal — Restaurant in Panama City

This morning on our way to work me and my boyfriend went through the drive thru at Krystal's on 23rd St and Jenks Ave in Panama City Florida and it was dirty,slow,and they didn't know how to make the food the right way. We waited in the drive thru at the window for over 10 minutes because they said they had to make the gravy. After waiting that long time I checked the food before leaving and it was nasty. It was so cold that the cheese didn't even melt and it wasn't supposed to even have cheese on it anyway. The gravy we waited that time for was a tiny spoonful plopped on top and it was cold and grainy and weird looking. We had ordered gravy bowls...... There was not even a biscuit in there at all, idk what they gave us but that wasn't even close to what we had ordered. I went inside to speak to them and it was filthy in the lobby,I was talking to the manager and I touched the counter at the register and my hands got wet and sticky,there was some drink spilled all over the counter,there were no napkins anywhere in sight for me to even wipe my hands with. There was trash and black sticky areas all over the floors. I was pretty shocked at how filthy it was especially because they had only been open for less than an hour at that time so nobody had cleaned up the night before I suppose. I don't believe I've ever been to any restaurant that was quite that filthy and inept. The manager didn't look at me,only spoke a couple of words, and he didn't apologize either and just handed me my money back. He had no name tag and his clothing was disheveled and not very clean either. I asked his name and got my money and walked out, I didn't create a big scene, as much as I wanted to, I didn't. I will not go back to that restaurant again unless they have a change of management and get their store clean and running better, I will tell everyone I know about this store also. Noone needs to eat at a place that's that bad, I feel that some time soon someone will get food poisoning from that store and whatever else you can get from not being sanitary and the food not being prepared correctly and at the wrong temperatures also. I hope someone that can make the needed changes gets to read this. I will most likely go to corporate over this...

Visited this location on 8/7/2019. Ordered my son Krystal burgers and myself the 3 Chicks combo. Dontae was courteous, though sidebar conversation another employee was trying to have with Dontae could have been curtailed as he was busy taking our order. The restaurant seating area needed attention. It was a busy time (lunch time), so customers were arriving rapidly. Napkin containers were empty. The drink station needed to be wiped down and cleaned. The straws and lids needed slight attention. I did not check bathrooms on this visit. The floors needed to be mopped. Our food arrived hot. My son's burger however, was supposed to be a cheeseburger, not a hamburger. Both were a bit more greasy than I would have preferred. Yesterday, 8/7/2019 in the evening, my son began vomiting, having diarrhea, and having stomach cramps. No fever, so it's not the flu, more likely gastroenteritis. I don't have any symptoms although I ate here as well. Keeping an eye on him for now. Cleanliness and hygiene are always very important in the food service industry. I know sometimes depending on management, employees can become lazy about taking care of drink stations and other areas properly. I recommend management go over food handling safety to make sure employees know proper food temperatures and hand washing procedures. Hand sanitizing gel is very helpful and should be available to employees to use after using facilities. Tables should be disinfected regularly with cleaner to kill off communicable viruses and bacteria. Other than this, employees personalities were pleasant. Customer service skills could be improved through training. Everyone can always grow through knowledge. Hopefully, this was just a one time situation for our family. Kids always...

The wife and I went in for lunch the other day. It was typical Krystal burgers. I will say they don't seem to taste as good as they used to but maybe that's because I haven't gone there in a long time and I usually don't eat them except once in a Blue Moon.. My wife really loves them . It was her 1st visit to this place she had never had these burgers.. What was most aggravating is is when we got to the window the lady give us our food but didn't give us our drinks so so we waited there for a couple minutes. She then came to the window and asked if everything was OK I guess because we've been sitting there for a little while after she gives us our food. I told her we were still waiting on our drinks and she said oh sorry about that and asked what our drinks were. She said that was 2 sprites right? I answered her no it was 2 Dr Pepper's. She said OK1 second and handed us a couple of drinks about 30 seconds later translator and it was 2 sprites not too Dr Pepper's like I had reiterated to her .
