Waffle Shoppe — Restaurant in Panama City

We were looking to support a local establishment rather than a chain.

It was VERY disappointing that you have to ask what waffles they have as this is NOT part of the menu. The waitress acted like this question was off putting and it really ruffled her feathers to be asked questions about the waffles. From that point forward, she was less than pleasant to engage with during our visit.

We did not realize that there was a MAJOR upcharge for the waffle to go with out omlette. If you don't have a menu with the information and the waitress clearly feels that she should not be bothered with questions - how would you ever know that your bill would be increased by 50%. We will continue to look for a different local establishment ... not sure we will try this one again or not. We usually have the try it twice to give an establishment a fair chance on different days - the waitress and lack of menu has us on the fence right now. If I had to say today - we will...

We travel to Panama City quite often for our job, the first time that we were searching for a breakfast location. The waffle shop was at the top of the list I must say every single time we go. The food is amazing, the service is awesome, I always leave there full and happy. I can never remember my servers name but she always remembers us and that is amazing. This is a wonderful place to go. We keep saying we’re gonna go there for dinner but of course they are closed in the evening maybe one of these days will try a burger instead of breakfast but the food is 10 out of 10. I definitely recommend this place if you visit Panama City . And make sure you use your GPS because if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll pass right by. It reminds me of an old school diner. The cooks are amazing. The food is amazing. I just cannot say enough about this place so I would give it 10 stars...

If I could rate it a zero I absolutely would! Worst experience I've ever had and I go to several different places! The staff was absolutely the rudest staff I've ever met! The waitress rolled her eyes constantly talking sarcastically and as though we were an inconvenience. The food they brought me was so oily it was pools of grease pouring off the plate. Was quite disgusting then when asked to trade it for something else the waitress charged me for the plate I never even got to eat a long with the replacement. When we went to leave she didn't even say thank u or anything and acted again as though we inconvenienced her. I will never return! This will be my first and last time returning.
