My student (12yo/B/F)did not enjoy their Summer program. She constantly complained about a Ms.Jessica . She was sperated from her friend (which she signed up w/ so they could be together. )She was asked her favorite movie,Thanksgiving (which is a horror film ),when she answered she was told to …that was inappropriate .

She talked about my nephew who was airlifted to Gainesville ,for a broken leg (which is true) because she was referring to a trip she was taking with 4H, She was told that was inappropriate.

I was also told she wrote on a students paper , I spoke to the student who advised me that wasn’t true .

I was told “ we don’t see her do it , but there was a curse word where she sat…but I didn’t see her do it”

I truly believe there was a certain staff member that didn’t want to deal with my child and chose to have her withdrawn.

When I talked to the staff I was told “ I enjoyed her it’s just not the environment.” Not sure what that means .

Today was her last day, so it did not directly affect me… However, I do feel like she was targeted and that...

WOW, talk about an amazing set of paintings about the Military and First Responders. The Artist Chris was super nice, allowed us to take pictures of his artwork(there were more on display and for sale). Loved how he added a twist to what we would normally see. Example the picture of the military woman soldier is holding her child before deployment and there are angel wings behind her as she doesn't make back home - I believe the title of the painting was "She gave her all", or of the service member honoring a fallen soilder on the field, and the hands of Jesus are present. Update June 1, 2024. Since HX Michael hit, there have been no Backstage Pass performances as they were held in the Civic Center that has not been used since the HX. Tonight's performance by Will Thompson Band was upstairs at the Panama City Center for the Arts. Small setting, but it was a great show!
