I saw a co-worker with a very delicious looking decent sized lunch salad. I decided to get one myself for dinner. I went for the same salad, the spinach and goat cheese. I decided to go with the half order thinking that dinner portions are normally larger. The salad was $7.50 base and then I paid an extra $1.75 to add chicken.
I don't know if it was because I ordered pickup through GrubHub, or something else, but the experience was terrible. I was never notified that my order was ready. I called the store 5 minutes after my scheduled pickup window had closed and they said "oh yeah, it's ready right here". This was 32 minutes after I placed the order, GrubHub initially said 15-20 minute wait.
I checked the box to include cutlery with my order but when I arrived it was not in the bag. I stood at the bar for a couple minutes waiting to be recognized, but I eventually had to interrupt someone behind the counter to ask for cutlery. After I got on the road and started eating, I realized there was no chicken added to my salad. The size of the salad was extremely disappointing, as you can see below compared to the size of my hand. Was closer to 1/4 or 1/3 salad than 1/2.
After it was all said and done I paid $9.96 for a snack sized salad that took longer to prepare than promised and contained multiple mistakes on the order. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the salad itself was delicious and fresh.
Based on service and value per $ spent, this was my first and last visit.
Edit: I just realized that the salad was also supposed to come with rosemary flatbread that I didn't receive. Dropping to 1 star, service, value, accuracy, timeliness, all terrible. Flavor is the only thing they got right, but not enough to overcome...
Read more1- We were almost overcharged when a coupon wasn't taken off. We had to challenge the total to get it fixed.
2- We received our drinks after the party behind us in line ordered, paid, sat, and received their drinks. The server spilled soda on the high chair and after two requests for napkins dropped off a grand total of 5 napkins for our table of 4.
3- Two pizzas were dropped off at the table, without any indicator of when our soup or kids meal would arrive. My wife had to go and request plates after several minutes and had to ask about the rest of the order.
4- When the soup and kids meal finally arrived, the flatbread that accompanies the soup was missing because the "oven was full."
5- We watched seven employees loitering around the register and bar for quite a while, while one person napped on the bar for our entire stay. I snapped a pic (uploaded) right as they dispersed. The server NEVER returned to our table. We had to pester for a refill.
6- We presented an empty cup at the counter for a refill. My wife was holding one of the kids meal tokens that can be redeemed for a little cup of gelato. The server that gave the refill slid the cup to my wife and lunged to grab the phone that rang once. It took a few minutes after that to get our gelato.
7- We expressed frustration at the poor service during off-peak hours (1600) with plenty of employees available. The manager indicated that "they had a hectic day" and gave us $10 in gift certificates for a future visit. I contemplated tossing those gift certificates to some other patrons but they were already crumpled and had sharpie marks on them indicating they had been redeemed.
This was our third visit over several weeks and shows a...
Read moreThis place is awesome. I came here with my 2 young daughters (6 and 7 y.o.) and not only did I enjoy my food but they also enjoyed theirs. I got the mini mia pizza and salad combo which is perfect if you're not looking for a large portion. The girls got the kids meal which includes a mini cheese pizza (which was the same size as the mini mia), a drink and a scoop of ice cream. They give the kids a wooden coin that lets them redeem it for a scoop of ice cream after they finish their meal which I thought was such a great idea. Although the scoop of ice cream is comically small (my 6 year old even commented and laughed at how small it was), they appreciated it and enjoyed it. The staff were all very friendly and service was on point. We had a great experience and the kids have been asking to go back, needless to say we definitely will. I hope the community supports this place so it sticks around for...
