I have eaten at most of the “better” restaurants on the strip being a local.
I have to say the food is amazing. The cocktails are phenomenal. The GM Jared personally came over to check on us and he is amazing.
We ordered
Cocktails-
Osphree gin with yogurt reduced cocktail. Sounds odd but it’s the best gin based cocktail I’ve ever had and it has an artistic cup and ice block. It’s a must order.
She ordered the tomato based looking martini (sorry I can’t remember the name) but she loved it so much she ordered 3 of them.
The other cocktail that is a must do is the vodka and champagne concoction which is amazing.
Appetizers- Yellowtail thinly sliced is great. It’s better than the ones I’ve had at other fancy Japanese restaurants. It’s a must order.
Escargot. A must order. Perfectly done and buttery. Presentation is pretty neat. Make sure you get some baguettes as the sauce tastes amazing with it.
Burrata w cherry tomatoes. Their burrata is amazing. The texture and quality is clean and perfectly soft inside. The tomatoes are perfectly ripened.
They give tomatoes and lemon w olive olive as a starter on the plate. I loved it as it allowed me to slice and prepare something for date night.
Main entrees- Steamed sea bass. Very good. Perfectly done.
Lamb. This is a must order. It’s the best I’ve had
Duck. I wish I had tried this this is the other just do according to the staff. It’ll be my next one.
Desserts- we ordered 3. The chocolate mouse dish is a must order if you like chocolate.
Crème brûlée is very good. It’s a big portion
Apple tart. This is the must order. I can’t say enough about how good it was.
Overall it’s an incredible date night place.
I give an A for the cocktails A+ for the food. A for the service.
Courtney our waiter was from Reno and absolutely amazing. She knew every dish inside out.
The bartender (sorry I forgot his name) but was from Hawaii and wow can he get your paired with any dish. He has amazing suggestions.
Overall amazing. It’s a must do that is not well discovered like the others...
Read moreWe were a group of 10 on Jan 01. Our reservation was for 8pm. Half the group arrived at 8 and the rest joined in at 8:10. When we were all there, the hostess told us our table was being set. Twenty minutes later, when we asked what was taking so long, she told us that it is still being set. Ten minutes afterwards we were told there was a mixup and the table should be ready momentarily.
At 8:45, we were led outside to the terrace where there manager, I presume since he never spoke to us, was lighting the heat lamps. It was very beautiful on the terrace, and we were practically alone, except for two other tables of two. The restaurant inside was not full either so I am not sure what the delay was.
No one came to serve us for another twenty minutes. It was like we’re were forgotten outside. And whenever anyone came, everything was so slow…we asked for drinks and those only came after we had finished the appetizers. We even needed to ask for the empty dishes to be removed from the table as they were bringing the main meal.
When they brought the main meal, there were two servers. The server not assigned to our table asked our server who’s meal was who’s and our server mouthed “how the f should I know”. As for the food itself, the tuna carpaccio was delicious , the duck and pasta were mediocre but the chicken and fish were very good. Oh, and the twelve French fries that were $12 were pretty good as well.
All in all, some of us had been to LPM Miami. The food and service there were exceptional. We thought we would be getting the same thing here but that was not the case.
I tried to look for the manager on our way out but he was in hiding. I have worked in the service industry and the least he could have done was apologize for the wait, and perhaps send complimentary drinks to the table. Sadly this was not the case.
I will not be recommending the Las Vegas location to anyone....
Read moreWalk-in for dinner and was able to snag a seat at the bar. Was greeted immediately and provided with menus and water. Could not resist the Jean Cocteau-inspired cocktails presented in an informative booklet bound within red leather. Went with bartender Joel's recommendation of the Orphée. Poured into a cute painted clay cup over a fancy cube, it was citrusy, slightly earthy, tree scented, gently buzzy, quite refreshing. Had two. I was pressed to sample both types of bread from the basket and was presented with the Amuse Bouche of on-the-vine tomatoes, a lemon, salt-and-pepper grinders, and an oil decanter. The diner (me) slices and seasons at will for a unique salad experience. Chose a couple of starters as the meal, the Thinly Sliced Octopus and the Escargots. The octopus arrived first, looking like a seafood millefiori on the plate. Delicate flavor, interesting to eat. The escargot was delivered shortly afterwards (the menu warns that dishes will arrive at the table when done in the kitchen); as that was the hot plate, promptly switched to that. Decently large-sized pieces, very garlicky. The fresh bread got put to excellent use as a base for both starters. Finished with the Criquet de Milly, after Joel was kind enough to allow a small taste of my other choice under consideration, the Tuesday Escape. A grasshopper with an LPM twist, silky deliciousness. Value - Pretty acceptable in my opinion for excellent quality food and drink at a high-end Strip restaurant within a popular casino. Service - Excellent hospitality, being warm, attentive and proactive, and conversational. No pretension at all, guest satisfaction is perceived as being all-important. Ambiance - Style and attention to detail out the wazoo. Food presentation, artwork, solid pewter bar top, rustic pottery, floating cocktails and historical love notes, everywhere is charm and...
