I initially visited this restaurant in August 2015 and the experience was absolutely amazing. The food was top-of-the-line with the burger meat tasting just delicious and it was the best burger I’ve ever had. So at the time I said this is the only place I’m gonna have burger in the United States. The fries came in this funnel and they were big. They brought in the fries with different kinds of sauces, which were absolutely amazing. The service was great back in 2015 as well.
Since then, I have recommended this restaurant to many different people who came back, saying they loved it.
Then the restaurant name changed from 1040 burgr to Gordon Ramsay Burger. Gordon Ramsay was the owner of this restaurant back then as well.
Then I was there in 2018 and the food was not the same. I still kept recommending the place too many people who seemed to really like it.
My most recent experience from two days ago was not good. I made a reservation for my girlfriend and I for 8 PM. We landed in Vegas early and my date was extremely hungry so we decided to head to the restaurant right away and we got there at 7 PM. Before we even got there, I called the restaurant at 6:30 PM explaining the situation and saying that I have a reservation, can we please change the reservation to 7 PM because we are extremely hungry. The answer was no. I told her that my girlfriend was pregnant and she hung up the phone.
We arrived at the restaurant, and I talked to the hostess. I explained the situation again. She was very polite and said that she could not do it so then I asked to talk to the manager. The manager came in, she was pleasant and polite and I explained the situation again and said that we arrived early can we please get a table and I also pointed out that there were over 20 empty tables that we could see because the restaurant is in the open setting. The answer was no, and she told us that they had lots of reservations and that’s why the tables are available. It was not true and completely absurd given that there was a line that was moving for people who just decided to walk in. I was really taken aback and kind of shocked by the blunt refusal. My girlfriend is extremely intelligent, she’s just brilliant. She said let’s just stand in line which is what we did and within 15 minutes they took us in and we got a table. Throughout the time, we were having dinner, we could see several open tables. Just observing the dynamics at the restaurant, I could tell that it was mismanaged, and there was really no reason to turn us down especially since we already had a reservation and it wasn’t like we were gonna take somebody else’s table. They were serving walk-in customers & many of the tables were just available.
By the way, we waited forever to get the food…
Now about the food - I will not go back to that restaurant again because there is nothing special about the burger anymore and the memories from 2015 faded for good. The meat did not taste well and the fries were terrible. It has become just another restaurant while you don’t feel welcome, where people don’t treat you well, and the food is just mediocre at best.
I don’t say this lightly, and it is with a heavy heart that I’m writing this review, but I will not go back to this restaurant ever again and I will never recommend it to anybody again. It’s just not worth it. My prediction is that in less than a year this specific restaurant will close because people have options and nobody’s gonna stand in line to eat mediocre food they can...
Read moreBy all accounts, Gordon Ramsay’s burger restaurant at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas was once a reliable stop for indulgent, high-quality comfort food. My previous visits in 2013, 2016, and 2018 were consistently enjoyable—each time delivering on flavor, service, and atmosphere, even if the prices leaned toward the premium side. But on June 30, 2025, that reputation took a serious hit. What was once a highlight of our Vegas trips has now become a cautionary tale.
The experience began on a sour note. The hostess, seemingly inconvenienced by the presence of guests, offered no greeting, no eye contact, and no warmth. She unlatched the rope with a sigh, led us to a table, and disappeared without a word. It was a small moment, but it set the tone for the rest of the evening.
Our server was polite and professional, asking how we’d like our burgers cooked. But as she turned to leave, she casually mentioned that the kitchen was running about 45 minutes behind. For burgers and fries. In a restaurant that wasn’t even full, this was baffling. The food arrived 47 minutes later. The table next to us—a party of four—had waited nearly an hour. The delay might have been forgivable if the food had been exceptional. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
My wife’s burger was cooked to order, but the avocado inside was brown and unappetizing. She ended up removing half of it. My own burger, ordered medium, arrived well-done and dry. When I pointed this out, the server offered to have it remade—but warned it would take another 20 to 25 minutes. I declined and reached for the ketchup. The fries were equally underwhelming. Mine were soggy, while my wife’s were a strange mix of over-crispy and limp, as if they’d come from two different batches. It was a level of inconsistency that would be surprising at a fast-food chain, let alone a restaurant bearing Ramsay’s name. To top it off, a staff member began sweeping the floor around our table while we were still eating. It’s a small detail, but one that speaks volumes about the overall lack of attention to the dining experience.
Two burgers and two soft drinks—at $7 each—brought the bill to over $70. There was no apology for the overcooked food, no offer to comp the drinks, no gesture of goodwill. The server remained courteous, which is the only reason this experience earns two stars instead of one.
This visit marked the first time we left the restaurant saying, “Never again.” We even canceled our reservations at Ramsay’s nearby Steak and Hell’s Kitchen locations. When one experience is this poor, it casts a shadow over the brand as a whole. What’s more troubling is the restaurant’s apparent lack of accountability. While five-star reviews are met with enthusiastic replies from management, critical feedback seems to be ignored. That silence speaks volumes.
If Gordon Ramsay still hosts shows where he confronts failing restaurants and demands better, this location should be on his list. When a kitchen can’t deliver a burger in under 45 minutes—and still gets the temperature wrong—it’s time for a serious check-in. Had this been our first visit, I’d have walked away thinking Ramsay is the last person who should be critiquing other chefs. Thankfully, we have better memories from years past. But sadly, those memories are now just that—memories.
Las Vegas offers too many exceptional dining experiences to waste...
Read moreTLDT: its a good burger with great sevice. If I was Gordon Ramsey though (and Im not),I dont know that I'd put my name on the burger.
It's really tough reading through these reviews. Alot of them seem to be from persons who are here on the trip of a lifetime and this restaurant is under the flag that flies the well known name of "Gordon Ramsey". So the burger has to be good. Or maybe they are comparing it to the only other place they have had a burger. Either hungry or drunk or dont get out much and just having a great time, here we are in Vegas at Gordon Ramsay's and "it's the tops!" At least that's what we are led to believe. Because of Google ratings, I am forced to leave either a 3 or a 4. This restaurant because of food is really deserving of a 3.5, but because of the service I received from Jered, I went with a 4 over the 3. Service was fantastic. Now lets get to the food. To keep it short, since burger is in the name of the restaurant, Im just going to focus on the burgers. (And unless you eat dessert with your entrees, sticj with the regular fries and have the sweet potatoe fries for dessert, onion rings are a good option). I sat at the counter where the seats face into the kitchen and watched all these employs work their buttons off to pull all these meals together. This place is a burger mill. After watching for about 10 minutes, there was one thing I noticed right away. All the buns are exactly the same and all the meat patties were the same. The only difference I noticed between the burgers were the topping. The bun that they serve is the same for every single burger. It's a bit on the dry side, almost too soft with a dark brown finish and lightly toasted sesame seeds. Nothing about this bun stood out except it's appearance. It certainly didn't take away from the burger itself, but it didn'add anything either. The patties if seasoned at all, are good, cooked perfectly and have little to no flavor. The only thing that separates these burgers are the toppings. While some toppings stand out more than others, the "anchor" burger with the kings name on it looks like a California fufu with an avocado and tomatoe finish. The "BAM" that should punch you on that first bite just isn't there. Sure it has Jalepeno's but they aren't fresh and they are just not enough to do their job. How about some fresh Jalepeños on a burger meat seasoned with chilies, served on a toasted brioche and an aioli mayo? The stout burger had a sauce that wasn't memorable and the mushrooms were mush and just don't play well with the guyere. I would expect something like a burger meat simmered in stout served on a bravarian pretzel bun with a bruder basil cheese and thick sliced brown sugar bacon from Chef Ramsey. Maybe a simple old fashioned burger seasoned with garlic with a big slice of raw onion on a classic English Muffin with a white wine mustard to highlight the flavor of the bread. See where I'm going here. I wouldn't expect Chef Ramseys name on a burger patty with a generic bun and some interesting toppings and call it amazing. Don't get me wrong. It's a good burger and the staff does a great job putting it together, it just lacks what the name of the restaurant...
