Name's not very memorable, but I've tried most of the quick serve take out sushi places around this area, and Roll and Teriyaki is THE best in terms of quality and cost, based on my experiences.
Their only flaw is that they don't automatically give you wasabi and ginger with your rolls (last 2 times I ordered from here) you have to specifically ask for it. Their selection is a little smaller too, as they only have the most popular kinds of sushi, and not the more exotic stuff.
That said, so long as you take advantage of their weekday and weekend specials, they have the best prices in town, and the quality of the food (including the ingredients) are a cut above. There's less rice and more filling compared to most places, and the seasonings and the preparation are very good.
The parking in this plaza sucks, and it's usually better to get takeout rather than try to eat in (not much parking and the dining area is small too), but if you're in the mood for more conventional sushi (not uncommon / eclectic kinds) this is the best place I've found. They have the quality of the expensive places, while having the cost of a cheap place.
If you're curious about this place, and want to try it while it's still cheap, I'd recommend coming by sooner rather than later, as the quality of the food here is so good, I can only see the prices going up in the future. They beat the pants off of more expensive places, and the quality really is comparable to the fancy sit down...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here based on the reviews, also I wanted to support a mom and pop shop like this. The service is great, very friendly and fast, but the food was nothing like the ones described on the reviews. The dining space is clean and neat, but not that large, itās more of a take out situation.
I ordered a salmon salad and vegetable tempura. I was excited to try it but when I opened the box the salad was drenched in dressing. I couldnāt even taste the lettuce and salmon bc there was so much dressing. I didnāt know that I had to say on the side, I spent $12 on a salad that was mainly dressing. I couldnāt even finish bc of all the dressing. The tempura was mediocre as well. More heavily fried than others Iāve tried, and the batter tasted different somehow. Like not fully tempura.
If I went back Iād give try the sushi next time to see if it would be any different. I wanted to like this place. Maybe if they put the dressings in cups it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor starters, they got my order wrong. Which is fine! He fixed it (unfortunately with an attitude). Mind you, 2nd time there. They microwave your food. Which was rather disappointing. But, what really grossed me out, was the guy at the front does not use gloves and handle the vegetables with his hands. Meanwhile, he touches the register and uses cash. Not coming back again is all Iām saying. I prefer getting my sushi from Japanese Castl. (Which is roughly 5-6 mins away) Now, that place is clean, professional and fresh. I just went here last minute since it was close by. Not...
