A Hidden Gem for Hawaiian Comfort Food!
I found a true hole-in-the-wall when it comes to Hawaiian food â and it did not disappoint! This friendly, family-run spot serves up incredible fried rice, noodles, and all the Hawaiian classics with portions that are absolutely huge and flavors that are supremely satisfying.
Letâs start with the variety: you can mix and match so many options to create your perfect plate. My mom highly recommends it! You can place an order to go or enjoy your meal there â either way, the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming.
My husband ordered the combo mix and was shocked by how big it was⌠he couldnât even finish it! My brother loved the loco moco, especially with the rich gravy (they even gave extra on the side). I was blown away by the generous size of the kalbi ribs â so flavorful â and the chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and fresh. My brother also tried the Hawaiian-style fried rice and gave it two thumbs up.
If youâre craving Hawaiian comfort food, this place is a must-try. The food, the portions, and the service make it a spot weâll definitely be coming back to again and again. Donât miss it â you wonât be...
Read moreI love Waikiki Grill! Specifically, this location only. Our order is always chicken katsu plate and/or the the garlic shrimp! The portion that comes with one order of chicken katsu is HUGE, my bf and I usually share this and it's plenty for the both of us.
The customer service is great. They're very friendly and tend to remember you which shows you that they're attentive when it comes to their customers. One day I was waiting for my order and a customer walks in and the guy at the cash register said, "I saw you in the parking lot so I put in your order already, it should be out soon." I was shook, AMAZING. Another day in the summer when it was extremely hot and was waiting for my to go order, he offered me a water cup and told me I can get any drink at the soda machine to cool down. I still got water, but little things like that make me appreciate the people at this location.
Side note: I went to another Wakiki Grill in El Segundo and I did not enjoy the food there. Paramount location is...
Read moreBland food, no seriously, there food has no taste at all. The only worth thing to order is the chicken katsu. They give you 3 short ribs which is a rip off. Their rice has a weird taste, im Asian, I know my rice. The seafood noodle soup is literally seafood swimming on warm water, bland. People that are saying their macaroni salad is to die for, they are delusional, the âmacaroni saladâ is BLAND. We asked for pepper, they had NONE. SERIOUSLY? Their sriracha seemed off, as if they took off some of the sriracha and added water and shaked it so they can conserve some. They have NO REFILLS. Their volcano chicken was NOT SPICY at all, even though we said SPICY. Bad experience, never going back. Again, only worth one to order was the chicken katsu, that alone deserves the 2 stars, the rest is 0 stars. Take my...
