This used to be a good Popeyes chain location and I never understood the terrible reviews but after my experience with their manager I understood why. In this time, there is no reason to support rude and nasty businesses when there are other businesses that need our support more. I was refused being able to use a Popeyes promo offer, with her claiming it was not a real coupon which I regularly was able to redeem and asked to pull aside out of the drive thru. They could have just communicated that they no longer will accept the offer to be used, that's fine I can pick a different place. At this time I also did not realize they didn't give me my credit card back and I was parked next to the drive through for 15 minutes on a phone call deciding with my family where to get food instead. I drove away to a different location and realized I never received my credit card back. When I came back to get my card, before I could even say anything, the manager started to berate me that I drove away and left my card. Why would I do that purposely? Also I was in the parking lot within view for 15 minutes, you could have brought it to me then if you knew. I also only asked for my card back and said nothing else, and instead of politely just returning it, the manager felt the need to lecture me and look at me like I was below her. You could have just gave it back and said nothing. I can only imagine how she treats her employees as they all looked fearful. Don't support businesses run by nasty people please. Read moreThe last three times I visited this location via the drive-thru, I went away empty-handed because they were out of ingredients needed to fulfill my order (e.g. they we're literally out of bread one time and the next time they we're out of chicken and needed twenty minutes to make more).
Tonight, they seemed to have all necessary ingredients to fulfill my order. I asked for a Chicken Po'boy, spicy, no pickles. I asked for a regular-sized side of red beans & rice, and a biscuit. I pull up to the window to pay the lady and wait 5 minutes or so while they "prepare" my order. I can see inside, and notice they aren't busy at all. All the while the lady has a deadpan expression on her face. I get my bag, quickly glance inside and see a sandwich, a biscuit, and a regular-sized side. Ok, good! As I drive off I look inside the restaurant again, through the front window, and see it's empty of customers except for one table, seating only two people; not busy at all.
Get home and sure enough my sandwich has pickles on it, and the side they gave me was Cajun rice (I wanted the beans and rice). Good thing I didn't order a drink, or they may have given me a cup of toilet water. I'm not even mad, I just feel sorry for them. It really takes a special kind of incompetence to get my order wrong, when you were very clearly not busy and appeared fully-staffed. I had been there tonight at 6:37pm with receipt number HJK. When I got home the popcorn chicken that I ordered is not in the bag. I called them for a refund but they can’t do it. The manager Jay who answered the phone is nice. This 1star review is not for him. He is polite and nice.
I usually don’t do bad review. I am doing this for the company to do well and remind their people and most of all to avoid customers from having a bad disappointing experience.This is not the first time it happened. I will never go back there.
