Molly Green's — Restaurant in Park City

I can't complain about the food as it is usually good but the service was so bad I have to give a shout out. Our server was Neils and I have to say he was one of the worst servers I have encountered in any eating establishment in my entire life. It was obvious he didn't want to be there. We had to get his attention to order something and that was a task. My wife noticed that our food was at the window but he was in no hurry to retrieve it and bring it to our table. My wife had to tell him that our food was up and he said yes but didn't proceed to grab it, instead he did some other meaningless task and then got our food. The nachos were on the cold side since it sat in the window for awhile. I wanted a straw for my drink and I would try and get his attention as he walked by our table but for some reason would not look over even though I raised my hand like a kid in grade school trying to get the teacher's attention. So I ended getting up and getting my own straw. He brought us the check and was a little shocked when we were separately charged $4 for the coffee for my wife's Bailey's and coffee, WTH??? We are no strangers to Utah and their liquor laws since we live here 1/2 the year . But I was not about to complain to Neils as he was a little busy high fiving the regulars as they left. Another server came over to bus our table because I guess Neils wasn't up for the task. I put money down on the table to pay the bill and I tried several times to get his attention to collect the money as he walked by our table but was unsuccessful. I then walked up to the bar to try and pay and another server told me that Neils would have to collect the money and I told her he has been ignoring us. She said she would send him over. Well I sat down and finally got his attention and gave him the cash and asked for change. He said "You want change??" Now that was a rather dumb question but said yes. He gave me the change and I grabbed it and left him a $2 peso, yes a $2 peso and that was probably too much. He immediately came over as we were grabbing our jackets acting as if he was going to finish busing the table, saw the peso (probably not realizing what it was) and said "Really is that all you are going to tip me" I told him yes and that his service sucked. My wife told him if you wanna be tipped act like you care about your job. My wife used to be a server and manager in high end restaurants. She said if she ever had a customer complain about the type of service we received and the comment he made about the tip that server would be looking for another job the next day. Needless to say, Neils is not cut out to be a server and would be better off busing tables but that might be too much work for this poor soul. Maybe they should move him to the ski shop...

*Editing my original review of two stars because I returned again last night and the menu has been revised and other changes were made.

There is now a large selection of burgers and the patty options are beef, chicken, or black bean, no extra charge. My black bean burger was very good and the sauce was excellent, although the burger could have used more of it. I chose the side salad to go with it and the veggies were very fresh. Could have used more dressing. The music wasn’t too loud. Service was excellent but they seemed short staffed because everything came out slowly. I enjoy spending time with family and friends so I don’t mind waiting but management should probably get more people just to do right by their staff.

Original review: It’s a shame that a restaurant with such an excellent location and atmosphere has such terrible food. I had been going here for years before the new manager ran it into the ground. No more pizza; it was removed from the menu and replaced with small, expensive flatbreads. No more bread bowls; in fact no bread at all, just a single package of saltine crackers. The french onion was flavorless with a slice of swiss cheese floating on top.

Molly Greens used to be such a great spot with a special, local vibe and great food. Service has always been slow but that was always ok because you could spend that time relaxing with good beer and drinks, snacking on appetizers before your meal, hanging out with friends, and meeting new people. Not anymore. Hope it was worth it to...

Food is decent. Waitress (sort of blonde girl, name might’ve been Sasha) was AWFUL. Now most people have worked in service and granted it’s not the funnest job. However, when you give bad service, you get a bad tip and that’s just the nature of the job. She forgot our drink and food orders 2-3 times, it took her about 15 minutes or more to get our drinks (we ordered one pitcher of beer and one cocktail). She was not friendly or polite the entire time. We pay the check and give her about a 7% tip. She comes to our table and starts harassing us as to why we gave her that tip. She crunches up the receipt and throws it in our dishes on the table, tells us the get f* out, and tells us that she’s going to get the bartender to kick us out. At this point, I’m still finishing my cocktail and she comes back and grabs it away. We ask if she has a manager and she says no and walks away. Never have any of us ever treated a customer like that or had a hissy...
