Versante is a Park City gem, you wouldn't even realize it's a hotel restaurant unless you wondered outside of the restaurant! I am so glad it popped up in my search for dinner. A newbie to Park City can find picking from many of the dining options intimidating. But do yourself a favor, and enjoy dinner here! You will not be disappointed. There is something for everyone. My husband and I visited at the end of August, so the weather was still quite nice, there is indoor seating and a four-seasons type room/patio as well. Versante has a lawn that they do live music on occasionally throughout the summer. I love that! Dinner and entertainment. I think you can find their music events on their Facebook page.
We made reservations using Yelp. I always recommend making reservations when available just to nix a possibility of waiting too long. We made our reservations on the same days as our visits. We had dinner at Versante twice on our trip - a Thursday and Monday. On both days, we made a reservation, but it wasn't too busy either evening. The service at Versante was very good, I felt that the staff attended to us well on both nights.
Do yourself a favor and order the Spinach & Artichoke Dip to start your meal! It is so good. I think the focaccia bread makes this dish heaven! We ordered it on both of our visits. I ordered the Salmon Risotto and my husband ordered the Steak Frites. On our second visit, we ordered a pizza to give the wood-fire a try and Carbonara. It did not disappoint. The Salmon and Steak were cooked perfectly. The menu has quite a bit of offerings, I do think just about any food preferences would be able to find something. Gluten free is an option upon request.

Read moreStanley and I took a little one night getaway to Park City, Utah. While we were staying at the Park City Peaks Hotel, we decided to go to Versante Hearth + Bar instead of leaving to a restaurant a few miles away because of the great reviews and rating of the place. We were excited that such a highly rated restaurant was so easily accessible at our hotel. The establishment is just to the side of the hotel. It definitely has a "Park City" vibe to it once you walk inside. It is clean and modern with a hint of "nature" or rustic vibe to it, if I were to try and describe it in words.
We changed into our dinner attire and made our way to the restaurant. We were seated immediately. The employees were wearing masks, there was hand sanitizer available, and the tables were distanced! The service was polite, quick, and efficient!
I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but I do have a picture of our meals. I ordered a pasta and he ordered a steak dish. One of his complaints was that it was cooked more than what he had requested, so it was drier than his preference. He also said it was not seasoned very well. The veggies on the side of his dish were pretty good though. My pasta was decent, but it was not that amazing. The pasta kind of almost tasted bland. I asked for hot sauce to go with my dish and it helped a little bit. We were disappointed by the food because we were both expecting so much. I'm not too sure if our dishes were just weirdly seasoned that day, if maybe our experience was an outlier due to all the amazing reviews, but my experience with Versante Hearth + Bar has not been a...
Read moreReally wanted to like this place, and to be fair they were trying. This is a post-COVID review. Our server was excellent, all things considered, so that was a positive.
Ok. Where to start. Pizza was undercooked across the board. It shouldn't be chewy at this type of restaurant, it should be crispy. Think about that moment when you cook a cheap store bought pizza in your oven, and you say to yourself, "it's getting brown," but it's only at 9 min and the instructions said 10-12 min? Please leave the pizza in for another 2 min...
Brussel sprouts and other Italian dishes were decent, but we ordered mostly pizza.
5 oz. wine pours... when I pay $11 for "house white", I expect it to be more than 5 oz... I could buy an entire bottle of that stuff for $11. If the waiter hadn't brought us a second glass for free, this would be a 2* review. Ridiculous.
Finally, it's overpriced - especially for the current environment. If we were eating indoors, and the food was cooked properly, and hot when it arrived, and we were given a complimentary appetizer/dessert, then pricing would have been acceptable. Undercooked pizza at $15-20 each and entrees at $20-25? Too expensive. They should be offering everyone a 20% discount based on the atmosphere alone.
I might come back, but I won't be a frequent customer. It...
