First time trying this place my first impression was ugh! It was filthy. The fly traps hanging from the ceiling that were full of flys and bugs just set the mood of what to expect. My boys wanted to go there to try it so we did. I ordered the catfish dinner. The catfish just ok. The hush puppies were nasty. They tasted like they were freezer burnt then put in the deep fryer and burnt. I thought ok maybe this was just a bad night, because I always see so many cars there and so many people go on about how they like it. So, few months later go back try it again. My son, myself and my mom were looking to get a quick bite before my son's band concert. We decided to go there because I wanted to try it one more time and my mom had never been there. This time it was definitely where I, my mom and my son decided never again. We were greeted by a waitress that had open sores on her arms and didnt bother to cover them. She was friendly but I was concerned about the sores. We ordered a simple cheeseburger onion rings and my son had the chicken Alfredo. Talk about the most disgusting looking and most awful tasting thing I've ever had in my life. The burger was near paper thin, burnt to a crisp, the onion slice was literally thicker and bigger than the burger patty. Not just mine but my mom's also. The onion rings were so bland and greasy. My son's Alfredo look like they had ran out of Alfredo sauce and decided to fill the jar of sauce up with water and shake out the rest of what was left in the jar to pour over top of the noodles. Then when we was done and ready to pay I went up to the open window to the kitchen area and looked in to see where my waitress was and I saw with my own 2 eyes the waitress and cook not wearing gloves or hair nets and both handling raw vegetables and food with their bare hands. So, I was even more concerned after seeing the waitress with the open sores handling food without protective coverings. When we left my son got instantly sick to his stomach and we nearly missed...
Read moreOk I have to say I was skeptical about eating here after reading some of the reviews, but after going to softball games all day, we were hungry and honestly, I love fried pickles. To say they were the best in the world…not sure. But there were enough for 5 hungry adults to share and we all thoroughly enjoyed them. 3 of the adults had the catfish and again, we ordered the snack, the dinner and all you can eat. We all had plenty and had enough to take home two boxes. The pub chips were also huge portions and we took home 2 boxes of the leftovers. 1 had a spinach, strawberry salad with bacon and blue cheese…delicious. She had the raspberry vinaigrette dressing with it. The last adult had the burger with bbq sauce and bacon and shared some of the pickles and pub chips. Kaitlyn was our server and the only one in the room. Our drinks were filled constantly and she checked on us constantly. Honestly the only thing we were not a fan of was the loaded potato salad. In fact we all left most of it uneaten. BUT the other food was delicious and service was incredible. One last thing, the ladies restroom could use some attention. We were there on a Thursday evening about 6:30 and they close at 8:00. I would recommend to others. Debbie...
Read moreI'm not sure what's going on with the place but I'm pretty fond of the owner and I enjoy eating the food. The service is making the business suffer. I walk in and every single table is dirty with water or some sort of food on every table. Server wipes it down with a soaking wet dirty rag, sets the paper menus and straw on the wet table. Brings my drink, tea is sour, give me a dirty look when I tell her that its sour. Brings my food, INTERRUPTS PRAYER WITH A COMMENT when she brings my water. Disappears for my entire meal and I have to take syrup for the pancake off of another table. I'm really not a complainer! But I am serious when I say I will not be back! Not to mention I'm pretty sure she charged me for the tea anyway. I'll find out and I'll update later. Customer service keeps customers coming back! You need to let them know...
