Convict Coffee Company: A Hidden Gem Brewing with Heart and Soul
If you’re searching for a coffee spot that’s more than just caffeine—it’s community, creativity, and care—look no further than Convict Coffee Company in Parker, Colorado. Tucked conveniently between Parker Road and Twenty Mile Road, right across from Vitamin Cottage, this place is bursting with character, comfort, and quality.
Today, I had the absolute pleasure of being served by none other than Daniel, one of the owners himself. He personally crafted my matcha drink from scratch—no premade syrups, no unnecessary sweetness—just pure, fresh ingredients done exactly the way I like it. The fact that I was even given a choice between sweetened or unsweetened shows the level of thoughtfulness and dedication they pour into every order.
The shop itself is a vibe. Multiple cozy rooms are adorned with original art from American artists across the country, creating an inspiring atmosphere that invites you to linger a little longer. It’s clear that Convict Coffee isn’t just about drinks—it’s about experience.
And just in time to fall in love with this local gem, they’re about to celebrate their one-year anniversary this Friday, April 18, 2025. Expect live music, a painting room, complimentary BBQ, and other surprise treats as they thank the community that’s supported them since day one.
Daniel extends an open invitation to all—come celebrate with the Convict family, sip something amazing, and support a business that truly gives back. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first visit, you’re guaranteed to leave with more than just a good drink—you’ll leave with a smile.
Trust me, your taste buds (and your heart)...
Read moreThe amount of care that went into putting this place together is incredible. It's accessible to most everyone. There's both hard and soft seating made for a variety of bodies, groups can cram together closely at tables or spread out in the game room. There's outdoor seating and quiet areas for anyone who gets overstimulated easily or who needs a less vivacious work space. It's obvious a lot of care went into designing the interior.
We felt welcome upon walking in, both from the owners and the other customers. Dan is so enthusiastic about his establishment, it's heartwarming to see.
I'm not a coffee drinker but that was not a problem! There are so many other fun things to try, not just chai, matcha, and hot chocolate. I was actually a little overwhelmed with all the options, but in a good way. I'm not used to that kind of choice in a coffee shop so I panicked and went with one of my standards (iced lavender matcha latte and it was delicious!) but I want to try everything. I'll be better prepared next time. They also have a wide variety of sugar free syrups. So many options!
I visited because Convict Coffee is a stop on Douglas County Library's Brew Tour. I probably would not have heard of it, otherwise, so am grateful for these activities that introduce me to new places. I live 45 minutes from Parker so I won't be able to make Convict Coffee my new place but I look forward to making it an outing destination or a stop on my way to...
Read moreTucked away with very little signage near an old ish area of Parker lies a little coffee shop where some of the most amazing, understanding, loving, and all around wonderful people are the ones that have gone thru hell and will walk through fire with a bucket of water to throw out the flames of life. That's how Convict Coffee is. They certainty don't fit the vibe of coffee chains like Starbucks. But what they do have over chains? Pure genuine love for the human race. I'm not an art person at all, but I was so inspired by seeing one of the art pieces on the wall of Convict that I decided to purchase it myself and support the artist (mine is the one with the fork for scale). The first sentence describing that art was "I haven't looked back since" which resonated with me so much of my own life. Convict actually supports causes of all kinds, is extremely dog friendly, has family friendly games, game consoles, and they are unapologetically true to who they are. They play explicit music and don't shy away from some of the hard truths in life. If there's any place that I feel would give me a 2nd chance at life, this is the place that gives that vibe. They are the most welcoming and loving coffee shop I've ever been to. They have bingo and many other weekly events. My good friend and I went to Poulette Bakeshop before and enjoyed our pastries here. I can't wait to come back...
