Stopped in to check them out on "small business Saturday" over the holiday weekend. It's a nice, huge space for large groups/events for sure. It's clean, seems to be well organized, has a lot of what someone would be looking for (although I have to say it's extremely Warhammer heavy!). But I'm concerned about the pricing models in some cases. I stopped in to pick up a D&D 5e Core Rulebook Gift Set for some new players as a present. It was $169. I got it on the actual D&D site, Wizards of the Coast, the next day for $90 with free shipping and that INCLUDES a digital copy as well. That was just too big of a price difference for me to justify on a souvenir gift budget. Seemed like I'd have been throwing away $80. For that price I could have almost gotten a second copy along with the digital downloads for a total of 4 copies. Anyway... As time goes on I'll give them some more looks. I'm hopeful I can raise to a higher star as I learn more about them. But this was my first experience there so I wanted to capture my...
Read moreHaven't been here in years and it seems the location changed and so has ownership since the last time I was at collectormania. For reference that was when they were located by the DMV in Parker, so it's been quite a while. Place was like night and day since I last visited and for the better. I plan on trying to be a regular customer if I can and I definitely want to come back when they are hosting events as well. Employee I spoke with, I believe his name was Eric was pretty chill and I enjoyed chatting with him. This store definitely gave me a welcoming vibe despite being nearly empty at the time I was visiting. As far as I know that's a norm for stores like these though so it's not a bad thing the place seemed slow when I visited. I figure they make most of their profits during their gaming events, but thats just a guess. Anyway, great store so check it out if you're big on things like warhammer 40k, dungeons and dragons, or even magic...
Read moreStopped by to check the store out. It is in a slightly aged strip mall with miscellaneous other tenants. Easy to find, get in and get out.
The gaming focus here seems to be Magic, Warhammer 40k and Flames of War. Also a sizable wall of board games. A very small selection of RPG stuff. Some Reaper Miniatures, but not the full line and mostly the Bones line (which is fine). They have some comics, older stuff at a deep discount.
Lots of tables to play on, one 40k game going when I was there.
Staff was not unfriendly, though my presence in the store was not acknowledged (mostly fine, I know what I am looking for but it is nice to be greeted).
Store was clean and organized, though I deeply suspect it was a restaurant at some point.
While it is probably not the store for me, it is completely serviceable if the above things are in your own...
