EL HUERTO MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Parker

This is a little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant! We have driven by several times and finally stopped in to try.

We ordered chicken mole and the carne asada burrito. Both were delicious and came out fast. Service was great and very attentive, although there is a push by the servers to order dessert! You receive complimentary chips with salsa and a dipping bean side, which is a nice start to your meal. We also had the sopapillas, which were delicious!

While the food is great, I feel this would be a better to go spot versus dining in. The actual restaurant is pretty small and the tables are all really close together. It looks kind of run down inside but reminds me of taquerias I would eat at when I lived in California. El Huerto was very busy with to go orders and almost all the tables were full when we were there on a weekday evening.

Decided to try a New Mexican place for dinner, and couldn’t have been happier! Our server Jasmine was fantastic, super friendly and made sure our first experience was worth while. After reading the reviews I thought we struck gold with Mexican food in Parker. Not sure where those with 5 star rating are from but this is not the gem we have been hoping for.
