Today I ordered the Frozen Hot Chocolate. It was 2:00 when I arrived and it's now 3:35 and I still have not been able to finish my medium size drink due to it being too icy.
I would have thought with this much time passing it would have melted enough to drink it all. But unfortunately it has not. They definitely need to work on the ratio of the heavy cream, milk, hot chocolate, chocolate syrup and ice. It's clearly out of balance or I would have been able to consume my beverage by now.
They have a wonderful selection of teas here, my concern however is that a large number of them are not individually wrapped. This means you are dependent on the thoughtfulness of the customer before you as they handle the tin, getting only their own tea bag out and not contaminating the rest of the bags in the tin. You can solve this problem by choosing the individually wrapped tea bags of course. But the larger selection of teas options are in the tins that are not individually wrapped. It's actually a very impressive selection of teas!
This seems like a liability concern for your coffee house. As it only takes one person with ill intentions to do a lot of harm to countless customers. It might speed up service but doesn't seem wise.
Parking is a hassle at this location. Yesterday I didn't stay because I didn't have a place to park. I did today because I was meeting with friends. It's not clear that you can park on street as long as you read the no parking signs with care.(Yesterday I didn't realize that on street parking was an option.) There are fire lanes etc. But there is a lot of on street parallel parking available, that could be overlooked if you are not committed to going to this location.
Consistency is a problem for this coffee house. If my other two experiences were as wonderful as my first, it would be on my list of favorites. But, the other two have been disappointed. I am not really sure what to do about this location.
They do have great baked goods. But, they are featuring themselves as a...
Read moreI visited in Oct 2021 and realized I never left a review after our unfortunate experience. I will not return. The food and drinks are okay, I'd give 3-4 stars for the quality. Chocolate milk, decaf latte, and an extremely stale cookie. However, the staff's behavior was extremely judgemental and rude, and I did not feel safe or welcome. I went with my 4yo, 1 yo, and my 7yo nephew and had us all wear masks. A friend I see regularly was undergoing leukemia treatment so we were very cautious and wearing masks and removed them while we ate. No staff was masked which was slightly concerning but fine. I put mine on to ask for a box, a brunette woman (I'm assuming the owner but not sure) straight up ignored me, but I assumed she didn't hear me and asked again louder while waving and smiling, and she slowly looked at me and said while glaring, "I can't hear you with that thing on," and shook her head. I asked again, miming a box, she glared again, shook her head, and pointed to her mouth. I saw a box on top of the espresso machine and I just took it myself and immediately packed us up and left. This is the only time I've ever felt unsafe in the pandemic for wearing a mask. I saw her "thin blue line" sign in the window and felt frustrated and sad that she fit so cleanly into a stereotype for that community. I hope she handles her aggression in a healthier way and supports the community she serves with love instead of hatred/rudeness. Seeing other 1 star reviews it appears to be a trend. I hope she can be a...
Read moreI drove in this morning from Aurora (25 minutes)-I recently moved but I love the shop so I usually come 2-3 times a week. I ordered a small Carmel frappe. I left the drive thru (after leaving a $2.00 tip) and tried my coffee-there was no Carmel taste just an extremely burnt acidic sour taste that completely dried my mouth out. Like I mentioned, I come 2-3 times a week so I know what this drink usually tastes like.We drove back and I went inside and let the ladies working know what happened, they were very nice and apologetic. My drink was remade and again I left. I drove away and again, no Carmel taste and the drink was even more burnt and acidic this time. I asked my brother in law to try my coffee and he said the exact same thing burnt and very acidic and SOUR. I am just disappointed because I drove so far just to have a coffee that is not drinkable by any means. The taste is so bad and sour it’s not even coming out of my mouth even after brushing my teeth. I’m not sure what’s going on but it is extremely bad and a little concerning.
I also want to mention that I did try to call on my way home and no...
