I try to never leave a bad review. Especially for small non chain restaurants but this restaurant experience was just so awful. It wasn’t super busy so there wasn’t a real reason for the bad service. We have 2 under 2 so going out to eat can be a bit tricky. We ordered a single pancake as soon as we sat down so our 2 year old wouldn’t have to wait for everyone else to decide and then order… 30 minutes later, everyone else’s food came out and the pancake still wasn’t here…. Mine and my wife’s order came out wrong. Nothing major but the things that were wrong were additional add ons that we specifically said no thank you to. (Little hidden $2 uncharges everywhere) Then the pancake finally came out and they said they accidentally spilled a bunch of syrup on it and if we still wanted it or they’d remake it. But at that point it’s been 45 min and my 2 year old is starting to get super fussy and hungry so we just kept the soaked pancake. When the server finally checked in with us after not seeing her for awhile, we let her know the issues and her response made it all feel a bit worse. She didn’t really take any ownership for it and blamed the expo/ food runners. Which I understand sometimes the food comes out wrong but if you’re checking on your tables you’d visibly see what was right or wrong and be able to help. The food wasn’t great either. Nothing special and definitely over priced. My country fried steak tasted like it came from a big bag in the freezer. Super thin, and all breading. All in all, definitely disappointed. They missed the mark in every category. The sad part is that we’re so easy to please. Our standards are pretty low because we’ve both worked in the service industry and sympathize with it. So to drop the ball this bad is...
Read moreVery frustrating experience. We arrived on Sunday at 945, and were seated right away. The restaurant was not terribly crowded The host said our server would be right with us. After 15 minutes and not so much as a water or drink order, we flagged down one of the waiters. He said he would find our server and then kept walking outside. After another 5 minutes our waitress, Kaydence, wandered over to take our drink order. After bringing our drinks, she took our food order. The French Toast was amazing, probably one of the best I've had. The burrito was a 6 out of 10. The green Chile was very good. That's where the good news ends. Our waitress never came to check on us, fill drinks or any other interaction. It seemed the rest of the staff were attentive to their tables, so maybe we were unlucky. We also had to flag someone else down to get our check as our waitress had disappeared. Once the other waiters cleared our table, we sat for another ten minutes waiting for our check. Kaydence came back over and said our food order was lost. They were remaking it and she was comping our meal. We told her we had already eaten and the table had been cleared by other staff members. This shows a bit of how unaware she was of her table responsibilities. This restaurant seems to have a great staff for the most part but a few things could make a difference. Have the host take drink orders. Have a manager or lead present to oversee things, help with...
Read moreI have a forgiving personality when it comes to service and have never left a bad review...until now. Had to ask to get our coffees refilled - no big deal, they were busy. After two tables who arrived 15 minutes after us received their food my boyfriend politely asked if the server would check on our food since it had been an hour and since we had ordered before the other tables. He came back 5 minutes later and said, "I'm sorry it's my mistake the ticket didn't print so they are working on it now." Now an hour and half later our food arrives. When he brings the check my boyfriend politely asks if we will be given a discount for the mistake made, a fair question. He says he has to ask his manager. He returned and said he explained the situation to her and she said no she won't discount. At this point my relaxed forgive and forget attitude changed and I requested that she come to the table. I explained what had happened and asked her to clarify since we both agreed the mistake was on their part, why a discount wouldn't be made? She said she would have to speak with the owner. Now something as simple as a courtesy gesture of 10% $3 dollars and happy returning customers has turned into a three-level escalation. After another 5 minutes she came back with 25% off and two customers who will not be returning and publicly reviewing their awful experience. We do NOT recommend this...
