Im shocked!! of how long it took my hamburger and fry i ordered to make it out to my table today. It took 30minutes from time a placed the order till the order made to my table. It seems the cook was on her phone constantly, it never left her ear that is, myself i dont believe in being on phone when there is customers waiting for orders. I also notice that after i ordered there were called in orders placed and them orders came out before my order, so it seems this diner/restaurant is mostly now a call in order and pickup up type place. Probably wont be stopping by any time soon in future, some of us has deadlines to meet and can not wait around 30-40minutes for Buger and Fry.

Such a great little local spot. We were just passing through and I’m so glad we stumbled into this little gem. The omelet we got and eggs and hash browns were just average/decent but the homemade sourdough bread was delightful. We were lucky be there on a Saturday morning where they had huge fresh baked cinnamon rolls… oh my goodness amazing!! Good service and very friendly. Extremely reasonably priced, incredible value for what you get and the amount of food. Fun atmosphere with the books. We also grabbed some homemade cookies on the way out to take to go that were heavenly!

This IS that local hidden gem that we all search for. Nice local cafe that we walked to from the Blennerhasett Hotel. Nikki served us, and we both had omelets with american cheese, peppers, and oinions. Rye toast was good. Reasonably priced. This is a local favorite, as most patrons seem to know each other. This is open early and closes early, and is for breakfast or lunch only. Try it; I'm sure you'll like it! We'll be going there soon!

In Parkersburg for the weekend ( last weekend 8/15-8/17) We walked over for breakfast. It was busy due to the Homecoming I’m assuming. We sat ourselves bc the waitress was so busy. We sat for 10 minutes before anyone came. We did get our drink orders, a lady with a “bun” said I will be right back to take your order. 20 minutes later, still no order taken, but one little lady was working her tail off! I’m assuming the owners came in, they sat in the back corner, while starting to clear some of the dirty tables and wipe them down, still no order taken.. Finally, the “one” lady working and doing everything came to take our order, there were 5 of us. Order taken, more people coming in, the lady with “the bun” still standing talking to the owners and proceeded to bring them out some food, which is fine, they own it so be it! People came in for coffee, the one lady working was doing everything, while again the lady with the bun stood talking! We got most of our food, my order did not come out so we had to wait for it to be made ( French toast) it wasn’t turned in! Again, while the one lady was doing everything, the lady with the bun stood and talked to the owners, while they watched the one lady do it all! Pretty ridiculous if you ask me! You definitely need some help in your restaurant and hire people whom want to work instead of standing talking to you while everyone else waits on their food.. you could have at least helped run the register, make a pot of coffee or been a little helpful. While the food was ok, if in Parkersburg, probably won’t return. I gave it a one star, not bc the service we received from the only lady working, she did her job and a tip was left, but because you as an owner sat and watched her work herself to death, while the bun lady stood and talked to you and didn’t offer to help...

Arrived in Parkersburg a year or so again and this was one of the local eats we hit while exploring the town. The Mushroom Swiss burger was a delicious creation with an abundant offering of mush topping the patty and cheese. So good, had to order another to go. Came here for the Downtown event of merchants and artist and we stopped in with our family to dine. Elvis was in the building and entertainment was heard as he belted out some tunes that had the patrons smiling and recording away. Our food was delivered and enjoyed by all as well were given bottles of soda for our drinks, which came in handy to walk the event. Nice cozy atmosphere and food that leaves a good taste in the mouth and feel in the spirit as you journey around Downtown. Come on in and...

In town to visit Blennerhassett Island, we were starving but only had 40 minutes before catching the ferry. This place was the closest so we took a chance. We told the server that we were in a hurry and asked for the quickest things we could get. She assured us that we could order almost anything with no worries. I ordered a BLT and my wife got a turkey club sandwich. She was right. Both were served with very little wait. My sandwich was good but just a run of the mill BLT. My wife said the same of her club though she did say it was flavorless. She added salt and pepper and said it was ok. Their fries are the battered type and were cooked well. They also needed some seasoning but were better than the...
