Food and beer here are both good. Unfortunately the service is consistently poor. My last three trips here started with attentive servers at first... I think they have a 3 stop maximum or something. This has happened to me sitting at both tables and the bar. It once took them over 20 minuted to bring me my check when sitting at a table. Tonight I sat at the bar and had some dinner and a few beers. During that time they were great. However, about the time I finished my second beer I noticed there wasn't an employee anywhere on the floor or behind the bar. I kept looking around to see if I was missing someone, but couldn't find anyone. This went on for at least ten minutes. Someone did finally come back and asked if I wanted anything else. I said I was going to have another beer, but was afraid the entire staff would disappear again, so I just asked for my check. She didn't offer an apology or anything. I also told the guy that cashed me out about my experience that night, and on that service was slow on previous trips. I did tell him I like the food and beer there though. Bottom line is the place is worth checking out for the beer and food, just make sure you have plenty of time and patience when you go there as the service is unlikely to be stellar. I should also note the servers and bartenders have almost always been friendly there, but they always seem to forget that...
Read moreOk, so first off I did get this to go, so it may have taken away from the whole food experience, but here are my thoughts. I ordered the build your own single burger, and the sampler appetizer, which consisted of: mozzarella sticks, pretzels with beer cheese, bacon wrapped jalapenos, and the Scotcha (soft boiled egg wrapped in sausage and deep fried). So the appetizer while fun, was kinda disappointing in my opinion. The mozzarella sticks (4) were standard frozen cheese sticks, the bacon wrapped jalapenos (2) were ok, not much flavor going on, the scotchas were cool looking and a fun idea, but lacked on flavor to me. The pretzels (1 cut in half) were the best thing on this plate, but tiny for a $20 app. Perhaps a second pretzel and drop a cheese stick. The 4 dips were nice, but the beer cheese is forgettable at best. Now to the burger. Cooked to perfection, medium, and juicy, seasoning was decent. The bun was good, but too large for the patty. Had a 1/2 inch of bread clear around the burger. Condiments were on point, bacon crispy, tasty pickle. Fries, again, were ok. Frozen, small portion, served with bacon bits and more beer cheese when ordering the deluxe version. All in all, a good place to try, but not a place I will be dying to order from again. Might have been better in person with...
Read moreCame in from out of town for work. Saw it was close to my hotel and was part of the local restaurant week. Checked it out online and all menus looked great! When we walked in and got a table... The Server informed us “the grill is off, so we can’t do anything with burgers, steak or chicken.” So starving, and with limited options we got cheese curds, pepperoni flatbread and the pesto flatbread. Not like we had many other options anyway. Ordered water and two beers. Beers came and no water. Curds are the typical fried cheese. Flatbreads came out. Bread or crust was obviously premade and hard as a rock. Sauce was out of can, and barely warm. Pepperoni wasn’t even cooked. Pesto Flatbread hard as a rock and slapped together. Server was busy closing for the night. After waiting for a bit to pay the bill, I got up and approached her eating dinner at the bar to cash out. Pretty disappointed all around. We ended up door dashing food to the hotel....
