So I originally had a short and sweet review just stating the minor issue I had as a first time customer ordering from Great Wall! I was asked by the manager to remove my review and that is the only way I will receive a full refund of my $63 order that was not food you’d feed ya pets! I ordered 3 sweet and sour chicken plates for my children their favorite Chinese meal! The rice is not fried rice AT ALL does appear to ever have touched anything close to even qualify as fried rice! Per 3 children the food has no flavor and taste weird, they are all over 13! I ordered bourbon chicken plate, chicken was dry no sauce to be found and again steamed rice not fried rice! Mind you they charge you $1.50 for fried rice and it’s not even fried! EGG ROLLS what a joke nice crunchy outside, mushy greasy inside has no similarity in taste to any vegetable or spring roll I’ve ever had in my life! My order did not arrive by 7:16 as stated when I called the store they had no idea of my order the manager will have to look and call you back! No call back so I called back and was told order leaving now at 7:46! Order arrived at 8:02 almost and hour after the promised 7:16pm! When I got my order from the delivery driver he begged for a tip on an order that was LATE! I gave him a tip, as he states he placed my order ahead of 3 others! I called the store back about my horrible food and the begging for a tip and was told the store is ran by a little boy the manager will call me back which NEVER HAPPENED! I ordered through qMenu and they were working to assist in my refund and after the manager saw my original review here they offered a full refund! however after I modified the first review there was no further communication so here I have returned with a full review! Do NOT waste your money or ruin family night by...
Read moreVery disappointing experience, for someone who loves Chinese food and has been to more than 10 local locations... by far the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Dirty windows upon entering should have been the first warning sign to stay away. A lot of food for the money, was the second, as with increased quantity, there is usually decreased quality. General Tso and Sesame chicken, where both drowned in sauce, almost like it's a soup. 90% of this "chicken" was actually breading, with most pieces showing no evidence of any meat content. The pieces that contained meat, were sometimes white meat, and other times dark meat, or at least I hope it was actually dark meat... The pork fried rice was atrocious. The rice was boiled in too much water, causing it to turn into a swollen, sticky, mashed potato consistency, all while finding a way to coexist with rock hard, undercooked peas. The Wonton soup had a very "unique" unappealing, flavor with a dark brown, nearly black mystery meat in the center of the dumplings. Chicken on a stick was actually good, as I suspect was due to a particularly fatty cut of meat, that was also deep fried. The crab rangoons were the most appetizing , though the filling was as scarse as water in a desert. The egg rolls, were unflavorful cabbage wraps, with no duck sauce provided. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, that has now taught me to read reviews before I ever eat at a unfamiliar restaurant again. This is my first review ever, of anything, and it pains me to make it a negative one. I would love to see every small business or family restaurant thrive, this one however, needs a restaurant impossible...
Read morePoor hygiene conditions. I asked once to allow me to use the bathroom. No soap and paper towel. I was so horrified by discovery that I said that I forgot the money in the car and I left without taking my food. I'm not afraid of germs but c'mon, just washing your hands with water after number 2 is not enough especially when toilet paper will break and stick your finger in the ass and after that you start working with food. I speak with a guy who work/worked there and told me a funny story: when Health Department is coming in control that take a soap and a paper towel and put it the bathroom. It seems that the regulations ask to have one available at every sink but they didn't. So after the inspector looked in bathroom they took the soap and paper towel and run away to the sink and put it there and they try to move it to the second sink. The inspector see the owner (that woman with long hair) and criticized her saying "she need to have soap and paper towel all the time not only when he is in inspection". Nevertheless nothing happen not even a fine. I wonder what other corners cut in...
