My cousins came in from California for my Dad’s funeral services & were looking for a good bakery; this bakery is located at the end of Torrington Ave. (which is the street my Mom grew up on & we still own the house)…however, I have never been to this bakery for some reason!! So my cousins stopped in after church (so glad they are open on Sundays!) and brought a box absolutely delectable goodies to us!! The cherry almond muffins were AMAZING!! Ditto on the blueberry muffins!! My mouth is still watering for them!! Hands down, the best cream puff I’ve ever had! The coconut bars? I’m not a huge fan of coconut, but I give the thumbs up on those & highly recommend! The bacon, egg & cheese danish?? Ooohhh laaa laaa!!!! Scrumptious!!! And they brought a cinnamon roll/danish in honor of my precious father who LOVED that type of pastry :-) It was just wonderful!! They also bought several loaves of bread for our family dinner & they were spectacular!! I am so grateful that my cousins stopped there, having randomly found the bakery after church at St. Josaphat’s (my grandparents were long-time members there)….This will be my go-to bakery in the future! A true GEM in the Ukrainian village in the...

Very disappointed Ordered a cassata cake for a birthday party and I told my husband to make sure he speaks to the owner but he did not want to bother the owner. So, I told him to let the person taking the order know we do not want only jam in between the layers like our past experience and they told him "Oh, we don't do them like that." Yet, this is the 2nd time the Cassata cake came out very disappointing. Two layers of cake with strawberry jam that had little slivers of mashed up preserved strawberries and none of the real sliced up strawberries real Cassata cakes are supposed to have. There was also some kind of cream under the jam. No one could tell what it was, it did not taste or look like custard. When I called the store, the lady who answered the phone, was dismissive and treated me like I was out to scam them out of a cake, I told her I had pictures and she said you need pictures if you want a refund. And all this time I never mentioned anything about a refund. The photos attached is of a chocolate cake which was the cassata cake I got and the other pic of the yellow cake with the real sliced up strawberries is a stock photo. I will not be back to...

My review is on the blueberry muffins alone. I happened to stumble into this place because i had stopped at the deli next door for some beverages. I purchased a sugar cookie for $3, which was really good, and a blueberry muffin for $3.25. These muffins are so good. No, like for real. If you know a depressed person, get them a blueberry muffin from here. It'll change their life. I come here a couple times a week now for the muffins. They have me hooked. They're so so SO good. I couldn't imagine life without them now. They're full of blueberries to start out with. And they're all ripe and sweet. And the muffins have a bit of a crunchy sugary top, and the insides are light and moist. The absolute perfect treat. But they're sustenance for me. I need them now to survive. I have never spent over $30 here, but if you do, they let you spin the prize wheel. I've seen plenty of people do it. They score all kinds of goodies from $10 off, to a loaf of bread, to trays of goodies. I love this place and you...

September 2022: ordered the pumpkin muffin, the peach cinnamon muffin, and the sausage and peppers calzone. The food was good and I enjoyed the peach cinnamon muffin a lot and it tasted like a peach cobbler muffin. Pros: * Prices are reasonable. I think that I only paid $10 and some change for everything. * Small, quaint bakery with not a lot of room to move around inside. However, they had tables full of discounted baked goods that people were snatching up. * Good food. Cons: * The sausage was tasty, but I prefer mine to be chopped up into smaller pieces. Not bad, but made the calzone appear like a fancy pig in the blanket. Conclusion: I will return.
