Atmosphere and the drinks were great. The bartender was very nice as well.
I ordered the Drunken Ribeye Steak, rare. Which is supposed to be 12oz. I ended up cutting a 1/3rd of the fat literally off the steak, which turned it roughly into a 9oz steak, maybe less. They garnish it so heavily, I couldn't really tell. The bartender asked me how my steak was, I told her that I asked for rare and this steak is fully cooked all the way through, no pink inside.
So I pointed at the fat and told her, I really didn't mind how it was cooked, but the steak is literally 1/3 fat and there is most likely more hiding underneath the garnish. She looked at the amount of fat I cut off and she insisted that it be remade.
My steak got remade and the actual chef brought me my steak. He talked me like a child, told me if I wanted it "rare" that he would have served it to me still bleeding. Which is why I asked for rare in the first place. He continued to tell me that Ribeye steak has ALOT of fat on it. He continued to talk down to me, with an attitude, and tried to attempt to justify the terrible cuts of Ribeye that he's serving.
The bartender apologized for his behavior and told me that kitchen and bar are separate and he's not even allowed to come out. I told her not to worry about it.
I travel for a living full time. I eat out alot, order alot of steaks, and this by far was the worst steak dinner that I have ever had. I have had better cuts of meat at Denny's. The cut of meat being served for 30 dollars is literally an embarrassment. The chefs attitude was absolutely diabolical and it was honestly entertaining to watch him...
Read moreFriday night with a band. Beer coolers empty, draft beer wasn't working, and half of the menu was not available. I felt bad for the one bartender that was somehow suppose to wait on the people at the bar and tables. But she was also doing shots. There was no other waitress in the building. It was one bartender trying to help all of us but also getting bitched at by customers unhappy about the wait. We were a group of three and they never even served us silverware. We ate our appetizers with our hands because the bartender never came back. I just don't understand how your the owner, it's Friday night and you don't have your coolers stocked and staff here to support how busy you are. A table of 11 left because they waited for 20 minutes and were never helped. I don't know it was a lot. They need more staff at the bar because this was really embarrassing. It really stinks because we love the food here, the bartenders are really nice but if you don't have enough help it makes the whole...
Read moreWe have been here many times years ago and loved coming here. But this place had been shuttered for quite a while when the previous owner got sick.
Now it is reopened again by the family and it is as nice as it was before. I ordered a cup of chili a Cubano sandwich that was pretty big. It came with fries. My wife and I split the sandwich and fries. The sandwich and fries were pretty good. The chili was good as well. It had scallions and cheese on top. Which added a nice touch to it.
The place was not too busy, but was getting pretty busy by the time we left. The food came out hot and pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
The decor in this place is pretty much as I remember it. There is a mural on the wall that is a depiction of the many trades in the Cleveland area. And there are other areas of this place that show off the craftmanship that built this country.
This place is worth a visit. We will...
