Three strikes and I’m out. As others during this time, we are cutting back on spending. One tradition we try to maintain is eating out twice a month. We like to get pizza as it is something everyone can agree on and it used to be a good value. The past three times we have eaten at a pizza hut, we have been underwhelmed. First it was finding out that the meaty marinara was discontinued. We are unable to have Italian sausage due to allergies and the alfredo sauce does not agree with us. We ended up ordering just pizza which was good but not up to the usual standards. The second time, we got pizza and breadsticks. Thought it was a bit much to spend on something that was just ok. Now the third time we have gotten food from Pizza Hut, it has solidified our agreement not to be back for at least awhile. The Detroit pizza was drenched in sauce and kind of soggy. I wish there was an option to do lightly sauced. The Cinnabon rolls were swimming in the icing which I will admit was on me for not reading how it came. The breadsticks were good though. Nice and fluffy. I will have to give it to the delivery drivers that they do get me the food in 30 minutes. I understand that in these times, it is hard to get workers. I was a little skeptical of when Pizza Hut texted me that my order was coming via DoorDash due to issues I have had previously with them. Would have liked to option to decide wither to order and use DoorDash or pick up when no Pizza Hut drivers are available.

Placed an online order for delivery and when the food hadn't arrived an hour after the estimate I decided to call the store (it was now 2hr15min after the order was placed). The store # connects you to a call center that can only transfer you to the store itself or take new orders - so I asked to be transferred to the store. After 10 minutes on hold, the call was abruptly ended. I called back and was advised the only other recourse was to call the corporate #, which they then provided to me. After calling that #, it tells you that if you had an issue with an order that you need to go to the website (so why give ANYONE that #, just direct people to the site). I called back once more and asked again to be connected to the store and after waiting for 5 minutes, the call was disconnected again. There is seemingly no way to actually address issues with your order from this location and no way of knowing if the pizza is ever going to show up. I ended up sending a message through their website to share the experience and ordered other food from somewhere else. It's now a day later and the tracker for my order still shows that the food is "in the oven" - so I take solace in knowing that this location probably smells from the burnt pizza and maybe that has something to do with why they can't answer their phone. Read moreOrdered $75s worth of food for delivery including 2 orders of mozz sticks. Tracker says 26mins which turned into an HOUR! Then a txt update says order now being delivered by a door dasher. Order arrived BUT the 2 orders of mozz sticks missing! So driver says I have to call the store & let them know so they can fix it. We'll good luck with that! After calling several times for over a half hour from 2 different phone numbers because they kept "transferring" me, aka putting me on hold for 5+ mins EVERYTIME or they would just hang up! LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE! I finally spoke with someone who sounded curiously like the same guy from all the previous calls. He asks me for my ph.# & name & says, "ok". Then says nothing & I have to ask, so will the cost be credited back to my card? "Yes." I asked how long will it take? "Could be a couple days" I ask, will I get a confirmation of the credit? "Yeah, you'll get an email". Never got the email! Probably won't get the credit either, because he didn't sound convincing. Just confirms we are done with this Hut location. They are shady. Every time we take a chance & get it again with hope that enough time has passed, but nope, something is always F'd up & then this BS ensues! Not worth the hassle. Get your act together & learn how to run a business & make your customers a priority! SMH....
