Sloppy Bobs — Restaurant in Parma

I live literally 10 houses down the street from this place, and I have been here via a wide variety of occasions because it’s literally my neighborhood bar. However, every time I go here I can’t help but to think about how everything consistently sucks. My bartender yesterday ignored me for 5 minutes after multiple glances my way (which is nothing out of the ordinary) and another came up as if he was going to take my drink order. However, he proceeded to talk to the man next to me for a minute or two before asking me what I wanted. He got what I thought was the man next to me’s order, setting it on a coaster in front of him. I still have no drink. After another 30 seconds or so he came back and said “oh lol” and moved my drink that was sitting there over to me. His friend said “how many hits off the pen did you have today?” And the bartender laughed saying he was high af after smoking a joint. I then went outside and waited an hour and 5 minutes to get food I ordered. Lo and behold the high bartender forgot to put our order in. Mind you, they were moderately busy, but not super busy at all. In conclusion, I’ve had experiences like this numerous times here, and after reading the other reviews on this thread and noticing ownership’s relentless pompous and arrogant responses, this business has no merit to warrant 4.3 stars. As someone who’s been somewhat of a regular simply by convenience of location over LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE, this place sucks and the people who own it think they’re better than everyone and are unwilling to listen or adjust expectations of their employees or service. Came in here a week ago with my mom to grab a quick bite to eat. My mom sat herself at a table and I went up to the bar to grab us some drinks. I asked the bartender if we should just order through him or if we had a server. He informed me someone would be around shortly. We waited around 10 minutes before a woman finally approached us and asked if anyone had been helping us, I told her we had not been helped. She kindly took our order before leaving and said food would be out shortly. Me and my mom continue to wait again for over 30 minutes. All we ordered was wings and tacos. Finally Mom went up to the bar to check on food and it was not even being made. She said no thank you we are going to take our business elsewhere and even offered to pay for her gingerale. I would also like to point out that not a single person came up to our table during our entire experience, except for the lady that took our order. I even had to go back up to the bar to get us refills since we were never offered. I have been a bartender in downtown Cleveland for almost 7 years. So I understand when an establishment is busy and that mistakes happen. However, the place was not busy and the bartenders only seemed interested in talking to their friends who were seated at the bar. We took our business to Tradesman Tavern down the road. We always see a big crowd here when we drive by. So this time we decided to stop here and give this place a try. The servers were attentive and friendly. The drink prices were pretty resonable, but as we found out, the drinks were also pretty weak. So you get what you pay for.

We also ordered food for our group of 12. The buffalo chicken dip and pizza rolls were a good price and very tasty. For dinner, we had a gyro, buffalo chicken sandwich, sloppy beefsteak, quesadilla, and bobs burger.

The gyro was not that good. The pita was very hard, and the fillings were overcooked. The buffalo chicken burger came on a pretzel bun and was really tasty. I was disappointed in the portion size, as it was small. It came with fries, which was very overcooked and a very small portion as well.

The bob burger was ordered with a side salad. The side salad was a real good size, as was the Bobs burger. I would recommend the Bob burger and side salad. The sloppy beefsteak and quesadilla were very good and highly recommended, although the fries were overdone on these dishes as well.

Overall, I would say this place is just okay. Nothing over the top that would make you crave until you came back. You won't be disappointed coming here, but you won't be...
