I placed an order on the app for delivery, after 25 mins of watching the delivery driver sitting in the same spot on the tracker, with my delivery time constantly updating to be later and later I decided to call the store to see if I could pick the order up instead. The phone rang for 3 minutes before I decided to hang up. I called back immediately and waited another 5 minutes before someone finally picked up the phone. So a total of 8 mins later they finally answered and I had explained to the man who answered I would prefer the store to remake my order for me to pick up because I did not want to eat cold food. He said she is “probably at someone else’s house or she has 4 orders” The man who answered the phone was very unpleasant and could care less about my cold $53 pizza…. I eventually called back, and cancelled the order after reading previous reviews about this specific location and asked for a refund and this man could not be any more unhappy to complete this task, Complaining that they had already remade it and we’re about to put it in the oven. It is understandable to be irritated about cancelling the order after all of this but this man’s tone was just overall unprofessional and unpleasant. I cancelled my order and called the domino’s in Rockaway to place my order which was somehow $30 cheaper!!! Avoid this domino’s AT ALL COSTS. Rockaway domino’s has always been great. I encountered the rudest delivery driver I have ever met. Her name is Jessica. She arrived 30 minutes after the food tracker stated the pizza was done. When she arrived to the hotel, she asked me to come out of the hotel and come to her car to receive my food order. When I didn’t agree, she said she was going to leave if I did not come now. My family and I did not feel safe with the matter and stated we would not come down and we expected the food to be delivered as we requested,like a traditional pizza delivery. She said she doesn’t care about our pizza order and that she was leaving and Hung up the phone on my face. When I tried to call the store about the order, food or service, no one would answer the phone!! This was the worst I have ever been treated in the food service industry in 40 years of ordering food.
Next day Update: I call to speak to the manager about what transpired to get my money back. I spoke with Debbie. She was dismissive and stated she could not refund me unless I PHYSICALLY COME INTO THE STORE and present them the actual credit card and My ID! She said it was Dominos policy. I’ve been ordering from Dominos for like 40 years, No it’s NOT their policy.
