Halal Platter King — Restaurant in Parsippany-Troy Hills

I decided to stop here last night since it was along the route of where I was headed. I’m usually indecisive of what I’d like to eat but seeing Chicken Tikka on any menu makes me the most swiftly of choosers. Despite my limited experiences with this dish, it’s left a memorable mark in my foodie life each time I ever had it. And I must say, the chicken tikka over rice from Platter King has been added to that list. It was SOOO GOOD! The brother at the front said that this was his favorite..I now understand why. The delicious flavor was throughout the entirety of the meat which was complimented well by the two sauces. The white sauce in particular was tasty yet light which I enjoyed much. It’s as if this was purposeful in order to not overpower the authentic/unique flavors of the meat but rather to enhance. Although the portions are a bit on the smaller end, the taste made up for it and was well worth the buy.

My god where do I start. First of all as soon as I entered the store with my family after a long day hoping for a nice meal to end the day but they weren’t able to provide simple and clean services. The Cashier wasn’t wearing any gloves whilst handling food,His mask was below his mouth and he had no reason to give me an attitude. After waiting about 15 mins for the meal, I was unfortunately greeted with hard (seems to be old) chicken which was hard to chew. If you think it can’t get any worse just wait, The cashier seemed to be the owner, He had his family just wandering around and creating a lot of distractions and disturbance, There was a lady speaking on the phone extremely loud and my and family weren’t able to have our peace. This restaurant by far has to be the worst restaurant I dined in at. Before I get into the food the atmosphere of the restaurant was horrendous. I was disgusted by the cashier at the counter for being extremely unhygienic. He was utterly rude and snatched the card from me in the midst of me asking a question. The food made my 12 year old have stomach virus and I’m not able to recover from that. The chicken over rice had chicken which was extremely hard. If you love your and your children’s physical health and well being, avoid this location at all times. The food needs closer investigation by the FDA. The reviews on google are fake and self generated.The owner of the restaurant had his family over and the little kids were touching the utensils with bacteria all over. I’m traumatized and worried about my long term safety after knowing this was the only halal place in the area and I had no other option but to eat there. By Allah I am never coming back...
